'Label boss Schtu returns to Casomat with the 'Maltese EP', two original tracks plus a remix by Italian producer Aldebaran, coming fresh off the back of EPs on ISOLATE and Sum Over Histories.

The title track 'Maltese' is a bit of a throwback to some of last decade's classics when melody was still king, proving once again that all you really need to take the dancefloor by storm is a strong groove, the right chord sequence and a killer lead synth. Just the right combination to tickle the eardrums and get the body moving. 

'Jaipur' takes things a whole lot deeper and caters arguably more to the thinkers than the dancers, with its complex & varying arrangement and meticulous attention to sound design being the prevailing characteristics. Still, a healthy dose of Schtu's signature harmonic simultaneity is to be expected throughout. 

Rounding out the EP is a remix by Aldebaran, who burst onto the scene in 2018 and in less than 4 years has already released on the likes of Innervisions, Kompakt, Diynamic, Afterlife and pretty much every other big player that you can think of. He turns Maltese into a hectic, driving beast - layers upon layers piling up yet somehow simultaneously remaining perfectly clear, each one occupying its own little corner of the sonic landscape.'

Amberoom's second coming on TAU is essentially determined by Common Factors such as musical Seclusian as their approaches are Convoi(ed) by both: a mob of clubbers and DJs. As the first act ever in the fifteen EPs comprising label catalogue the trio, consisting of Manuel Tur, Adrian Hoffmann and Ramin Nouyan, have the honor to deliver a follow-up three tracker – to their first EP Jazire. The initially mentiond Common Factors thereby takes a leading part or rather said the part to  express the trio's emotional approach by creating slick melodies that connect right away with the audience and transports Amberoom's feels into the club, onto the floor into one's heart. 

Amberoom's EP Common Factors will be released on TAU on April 17th, 2020.

As cool as the green of nature and as light as the breeze of the air in the mountains. In our new EP, signed by one of our headlabels Edu Schwartz, the connection with the key elements of life is maintained and expressed in different ways. Creator Of Souls is an enigmatic and powerful album, able to heal wounds and rescue forgotten memories as a deep magic.

The title track has a super delicate cadence from the first few minutes, with angelic whispers wrapped around the playful ambiences throughout the track. "Soar In The Clouds" reveals new percussion combined with a beautiful piano line, highlighting the melodic essence of the label. To add to this great work, the Argentine Bodaishin delivers a remix that aims to awaken spiritual awareness, it is a song made not only to listen, but to feel.

HMWL Premiere: Edu Schwartz - Creator Of Souls (Bodaishin Remix)

DJ RUBO was born in Armenia (Vanadzor) in 1983. 

When he was 11 years old he moved to the Netherlands with his family.

He comes from an artistic family. At the age of 4 he learned to play piano at the Vanadzor Music School. His father used to be his mentor, whose profession by the way is (classic) concertpianist. Since then DJ RUBO fell in love with music. It first started on the piano playing classic and also Armenian pieces of componists like Beethoven, Chopin and Khatchaturian. Then he used to play in a band.

After a while he started to show interest in Dj-ing. The great thing he experienced in DJ-ing was that he was able to mix all different genres of music together, even though some genres of music seem to be unmixable with one another. The key thing is to be open to every kind of music that arouses a certain kind of feeling in people. Therefore when it comes to music DJ RUBO likes to think out of the box. Besides Armenian, Russian and Mediterranean sounds he has a broad repertoire of rock, jazz, soul, funk, deep house, techno, classic and many other genres of music and sounds. The connection with his audience is also very important. It’s in this interaction with the audience that DJ RUBO brings the best out of him.
