Wednesday, October 18th 2023 we had the unofficial opening of ADE in the most obscure progressive underground club of Amsterdam, The Shelter of Hearts (if you don't now where it is, you're not ready yet to join...). Where I had the privilege and pleasure to play in a line up of progressive legends who, if they weren't already, became good friends that evening and during all the party evenings that followed during ADE. 

A big thanks to these legends for all the great music and love they shared: Nicolas Rada, Dowden, Clay van Dijk, Alex O'Rion, Gavin & Mattie (GMJ & Matter), Anthony Rhino, Zankee Gulati and Mike Rish🙏🏻❣️

Hello Everyone!! Wednesday has come back round again, and so therefore has this, our exclusive weekly Progcast. Come with us as we travel in search of the best DJ sets we can find, anywhere on Planet Progressive! 

Bringing the sesh back home today, we journey up to the North East of England, and a scene revitalised in recent times. Head of all things good about this revitalisation, please make some noise for our guest today .... RICCO!!

RICCO, also known as Richard Stout, is a talented DJ/Artist hailing from the North East of England. With a career that spans the realms of DJing, music creation, and event promotion, he's a prominent figure in the region's music scene.

In the mid-'90s, Richard embarked on his DJing journey, honing his craft and eventually establishing his own successful night, which enjoyed considerable longevity. 

After a substantial run in the live music scene, Richard hung up his guitar and microphone and rekindled his passion for House music. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his musical journey, as he graced the stages of clubs and festivals alongside some of the industry's biggest names. Along the way, he co-founded events like "All Things House" in the North East, showcasing his dedication to their electronic music community.

More recently, in collaboration with his good friend Danny Jarvis, Richard played a pivotal role in launching "The Early Doors Club." This early evening event redefines the clubbing experience, allowing enthusiasts to savor the excitement of nightlife while still being home before midnight, preserving the sanctity of their Sunday mornings.

Richard's artistic vision goes beyond the booth. He's a forward-thinking DJ who continually seeks and shares new music, constantly pushing the boundaries of sound. In addition to his DJing prowess, he has embarked on the journey of music production, crafting his tracks that carry his unique musical perspective.

Erick Scobar es un artista de 28 años, nacido en Neuquen, Arg.
Comenzó a explorar el mundo de la electrónica en el año 2009, pero fue en 2019 cuando dio el impulso definitivo al DJing, de manera autodidacta y perfeccionando su técnica en una escuela de DJs de Neuquén capital lo que marcó el inicio de su carrera.

Sus sets se destacan por su habilidad para fusionar los géneros Progressive House y Deep House, mezclando sonidos vibrantes, groove alegre, bailable y emotivas melodías que resuenan en las pistas de baile, llevando al público en un viaje sonoro único y envolvente.

The Element Mt, Edu Imbernon, Emiliano Demarco, Marce Del Boca, Rigzz, entre otros.
Estos momentos en eventos y clubes reconocidos de la Patagonia le han permitido consolidarse como una de las promesas emergentes de la escena local. Su capacidad para conectar con la audiencia y llevar su música a nuevas alturas le ha ganado el reconocimiento en la escena local. En paralelo a su carrera como DJ, Erick ha comenzado a adentrarse en el mundo de la producción musical, un paso crucial para llevar su visión artística al siguiente nivel.

Además, Erick es el creador y anfitrión de su propio podcast, IN LOOP, donde cada mes comparte una nueva entrega llena de música dentro del género Progressive House, al mismo tiempo que apoya a amigos productores, dándoles visibilidad y exponiendo su trabajo en su espacio.

A pesar de los desafíos y el largo camino por recorrer, Erick se mantiene optimista y enfocado en el proceso. Disfruta cada paso de su evolución como artista, aprendiendo y creciendo constantemente.

Electric chanson explorers William Laut and Frankie Gothard (COH/Ivan Pavlov) from the duo WILL LAUT have invited sonic allies and like-minded innovators to reimagine the lead single from their first EP ‘Cryptoman’, with Nathan Fake, SHXCXCHCXSH, Atom™️, Carl Stone, and COH all offering their visionary perspectives.

Electronic composer Frankie Gothard and vocalist William Laut meet between studios in Paris and Los Angeles to explore mutual sonic avenues in their brainchild WILL LAUT. Built from COH's lunar post-minimalist approach, WILL LAUT concentrates on a broader range of emotions which defines the music's structure. The intimate and sophisticated vocal parts of semi-anonymous maverick William Laut slings the charm of a crooner into the blend of avant pop, synthesiser tango, haunting electronic music and self-made genre ‘electric chanson’.

The first EP of WILL LAUT was released via Wavetrap, Ivan Palov’s home label which was also responsible for Mika Vainio, John Everall and COH’s works. The duo has since forged a distinct sonic identity, merging their individual experiences into a singular body of work that reflects the aural chemistry of two deeply idiosyncratic musicians.
