Oliver Heldens - Koala (Original Mix)

Releasing my first original track; this is after the first unit of the EDM Prod Foundations class, a month of a constant stream of youtube tutorials, and about 16 hours of work in Ableton. I can identify a huge list of issues with this track, but since that'll probably always be at least somewhat the case for any tracks I release, I figured I might as well release it as-is just so I can move on to something else and maybe come back to this one later.

My first foray into tech house, but with a slightly more wet sound. I'll probably also make a longer edit of this for live sets.

My first attempt at using a rolling bass sound. I also put a lot of effort into the vocal processing and ambiance to give this one a “vibe”. I think this is closer to the type of sound I want to produce. It’s far from perfect, but I’m happy with how I got this to sound.
