Davide Toschi was born in Lucca, Italy.
It all began at the end of 80s with the genres acid house and detroit techno.
Since the 90s he'd had an enormous passion for house music. He frequented the most famous clubs and he has been inspired by the best DJs of that time.
All of this ispired himself to start a path in this filed, he began with a few events in some clubs.
In 2009 he met Simone Burrini (an italian DJ who lives in Rome) in a famous club at that time, called Oasi Beach and then in Suburbia. After that he decided to change his style from those typical house sounds and to approach to techno house.
In 2013 with the meeting of a musician called Maurizio Borghetti, he's begun to procude his music.He made his own style, which is a mix of some genres, but his biggest source of inspiration was 90s' house music.

Darien J, based in Brighton UK, is a producer, curator, and mixer of deep dance music. He has a firm belief that his music is for dancing not chin scratching, foot gazing, ego stroking or selfie taking. Like a musical sponge Darien constantly absorbs wide-ranging influences and is wrung out on radio stations and dancefloors around the world.

Totally ignoring genre limitations, he manages to combine elements from the deepest side of house, electronica and techno in both his DJ sets and productions. This kind of petulant behaviour might be expected from a young upstart new on the scene but believe it or not this is a veteran of over 20 years who has dance moves to match.

Since his debut release of The Dubstar EP on Cubism Records in 2008 his skills in the studio have improved in equal but opposite measure to the decrease in tempo of the music he is willing to dance to. His latest releases have been described as sounding like ‘the abandoned love child of a twisted love triangle of Olivier Giacomotto, Stephan Bodzin and Solomon’. 

Over the years Darien’s music has found homes on trendy labels like Motek, Submarine Vibes, Inside Out, Chapter 24 and melodic house and techno imprint Polyptych records based in St Petersburg.

Residencies in 2022 for weekly Friday event The Social Shift and the monthly MIN:Animal parties alongside guest appearances for fellow Brighton promotions, Berlin-Brighton, Size and G3t Loo5e. 

Forthcoming releases in 2023 include EPs on Sound Vessel Recordings and Saturo Sounds with plenty more to come.
