RANCH-O-RADIO - 094 Lockdown Love

This set was recorded live from Underland, a new regional burn in Australia. It was played atop the incredible UKI artcar. 

I started playing at twilight, with cocktails on the hill above the Theme Camp area. As day turned to night we drove as a procession down to the giant emu effigy.  We shut the music off to participate in a smoking ceremony led by legendary Uncle Ron (spliced out of this recording). The last part of the set (from 36 minutes) accompanies the build-up, lighting and burning of the effigy and accompanying celebrations.

This set was a great challenge for me, very much "in the moment," riding the bumps on UKI and reacting to the ever-changing energy of the fire and the environment. It wasn't designed for home listening, but I hope it may provide a happy memory for those who were fortunate to be present, and a brief insight for those who weren't!

My Full Circles closing set has finally dropped 🎶

After 9 years playing this was the first time I had the honour of closing a Festival, and the experience did not disappoint.

Playing this slot blessed me with the opportunity to play a rare mix of tunes that had been sitting in my Beatport carts for years. It was one of my more eclectic sets and I’m stoked with how it turned out.

Thanks for all the dance floor love. The Circadian Rhythms crowd is starting to become a favourite for a lot of DJs and I can see why.

The first episode of the brand new @dune2069festival was an absolute vibe! Incredible staging, sound, chill spaces and line-up of music and performance. Huge thanks to all the artists and crew. I was honoured to be included in this line-up of local talent, and we were treated to some excellent music all weekend!!!

This set was played from 2.30-4pm and is a vibrant Afro House / Tribal tech mix. The second track "Love Her Madly" is dedicated to the beautiful and capable, Juliette Smit who worked so hard along with Youri, Leandro and Keeton over two years to make this event happen. Gratitude and respect for the dedication and creativity!

It had been a very long time since I had played at the legendary Revolver Upstairs. I used to play vinyl back in those days there.
A great takeover with Coco Poco Loco. We had the place humming with good vibes and colour. Was stoked to close out the session with a set that I am fond of with some chugging tech house and techno vibes.

From the Desert to the Paddock, Eclipse Festivals to Warehouse Raves, Sean Candy has been bringing solid dance floor vibes for over 20 years playing his unique style of bass driven spacious tech/deep house. With a rich history spanning across many scenes and era’s,

Sean has brought his infectious beats to plenty of events, festivals and parties throughout the globe. Underground electronic/rave music and culture has taken radical shapes throughout this time, and it shows through his diversity of sounds, bringing energy to the dance floor with fun and depth.

In the beginning he performed as a one man didgeridoo/percussion/fx trance band called AB Didj in the early 90's. A unique sound scape experience, predominately at outdoor festivals.
Sean Candy has toured throughout Australia, Japan, Europe and America, DJ'ing his taste of chunky beats and twisted funk infused bass grooves, to many a party goer.

Played at numerous festivals and events throughout Europe/Japan, 5 Eclipse festivals Africa/Hungary/Australia/USA/Indonesia, Burning Man 9 times since 1996, Shambhala - Canada, Earthdance - Brazil/Japan, Fuji Rock Fest, Glastonbury, Return to the Source - London, Splendour in the Grass - Byron Bay, Rainbow Serpent 5 times - Aus, Liquid Room- Tokyo, Vision Quest - Japan just to name some of the few. 
Throughout these years, Sean has been a prolific producer of electronic dance beats with various projects and collaborations, including Slot Machine, Parasonix, Ganga Giri and as A.B. Didj/Oblivion with many releases on various labels including Edgecore, Psy Harmonics, Ceiba Records, Sacred Records and Transient Records.
