This marked my 10th year out on the blank canvas of creativity, known as the Playa.  It was unforgiving and magnificent and challenging and beautiful all at once. I tell myself every year, this may be my last, that the experience has pushed me to my limits of comfort, and patience.  But literally the second I get back to the default World,  I miss it dearly, and cannot wait to return. The last Come Down mix I made for Burning Man was 5 years ago, and with the explosion of energy and mega high vibes this year, I felt the calling to create another chill-out journey into sound. Think of this mix as your long Exodus back into reality.  Listen closely to the inspiring words of Larry Harvey sprinkled through out the set. This legendary man and his brilliant vision, which he so profoundly describes in his own poetically genius way, is the reason we all make the annual pilgrimage to this desolate barren land of LOVE. A Juups Classic Moment... live for a full 2 hours to close the Bare Foot Beat residents only line up on January 29th at the Arts Factory Lodge, Byron Bay. 

Surrounded by the Wild Pets under the glistening diamond rays of the giant mirror ball beaming through the smoke hanging in the air, the rhythms kept on coming in strong for a high vibrational escapade with the Bare Foot Beat crew.. the stuff dreams are made of :)

The first episode of the brand new @dune2069festival was an absolute vibe! Incredible staging, sound, chill spaces and line-up of music and performance. Huge thanks to all the artists and crew. I was honoured to be included in this line-up of local talent, and we were treated to some excellent music all weekend!!!

This set was played from 2.30-4pm and is a vibrant Afro House / Tribal tech mix. The second track "Love Her Madly" is dedicated to the beautiful and capable, Juliette Smit who worked so hard along with Youri, Leandro and Keeton over two years to make this event happen. Gratitude and respect for the dedication and creativity!

"As kid of the 80s I have a couple decades of experience in electronic music. No matter if playing live or compiling a mix, for me it’s all about creating an experience. Some call it storytelling, a journey. I think, this is just what DJ’ing should be about.

I don’t care about release dates or genres – often spending hours, days or even weeks for the track selection, it just must fit together. Making a mix is more like producing one, over-length track for me, always striving to create something “complete”. The result is not easy to pigeonhole since I like to move across genres. I like to build up the vibe and then releasing towards the end of a set. If you feel it, my mission is accomplished!

Electronic music is my passion and a welcome contrast to the daily office routine. Aiming to spread the music I love also led to my other baby, the @schirmchendrink collective, the one with the tasty cocktails and an incredibly hard-to-pronounce name."
