The Still Point Is Moving
The Still Point Is Moving is a song about the moment when light and dark meet, not to cancel each other out, but to remind us that balance is alive.
The fall equinox becomes a threshold. The days begin to lean toward darkness, the leaves loosen their hold, and the world quietly shows us how to release without disappearing.
At the center of the song is a simple practice: notice.
Notice the light.
Notice the dark.
Notice what is changing.
Notice what remains.
The arrangement mirrors that movement with percussive fingerstyle guitar, hammered dulcimer, bowed upright bass, and a clear, intimate female vocal. The sound is tactile, autumnal, slightly mysterious, and alive with small shifts in rhythm and melody.
The still point is moving.
And so are we.

Autumn Burns is the debut single from Dhaka, Bangladesh-based Epic Melodic Death Metal band Frostveil Monarch. The song is taken from their EP, Threnody of Winter Melancholia. Originally released in 12th September, 2025.

We don’t shy away from injustice—especially now as there is such political divisiveness.   Because truth requires courage. And clarity without peace can harden the heart. So our work lives in that tension: between what is happening in the world, and what remains possible within us.

We’ve found space for a different kind of sound—one that leans into the mystical without dogma. Curious, open, and inclusive. Music that doesn’t tell you what to believe but invites you to listen more deeply.

Not as an escape—but as a way through.

In a time that pulls attention outward, this is an invitation inward: to open the heart, to notice what is here, to gently retrain the mind through rhythm and reflection.

We write in a form of abstract realism—where inner and outer worlds meet.

Our intention is simple: to offer a cadence… a path back to peace of mind.
