For this record I first went out to New York to record with some of the daptone records guys to get the main groove Of the tune. Then I had to travel out to Van Nyus to record a children's choir, which was the most nerve racking thing I have done in my entire life! Having a group of 7-11 year olds sing your song is quite the feeling. I then finished up the song with Mike Avery in Chicago. He was one super soulful dude and really captured the golden era funk vibes that I love so much. Overall, this is a song that is a total funk dance party. Enjoy with friends, preferably in a room full of disco balls :)

Gonna be posting a tune to Soundcloud every other day 'til the whole thing is on here for streaming.

This first track, Dream Atlas is pretty special to me. I finished it a long time ago, and planned on releasing it on a smaller EP, until I had amassed a larger collection of music and wanted to do a full length. The amazing CloZee was down to do a remix, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. The title and this song's history stand for how insane 2015 was with me between touring and all kinds of crazy recognition, like Bassnectar shouting me out and remixing my tune, playing all across the USA and Canada, and getting on some huge festival lineups etc. 

Dream Atlas is essentially how I mentally picture the adventures that have brought me to this point - it all feels like a dream. <3

After a successful 2015, Of The Trees returns for his third release on Gravitas Music and his first full length album, “Dream Atlas”. The New England native stays true to his style; effortlessly, he weaves together pure, strong compositions with subtle complexities throughout the free LP. Memorable melodies and familiar hip-hop rhythms mesh perfectly to create these 9 tracks, which feature collaborations with Esseks, The OriGinALz, and The Digital Connection, plus remixes from CloZee and Perkualt0r. 

The title track establishes a charming vibe as the start of the album, with delicate melody and a pleasing sampled atmosphere. Esseks lends his trademark wonky approach to “Business Tripping”, melting the two producer’s distinct stylings as one. Setting the bar for the most hype track on the album, “Kick Back” rumbles hard with it’s filtered alien babbling and intelligent beat structure. “Panama” tickles the ear with both intricate and smooth ingredients, while the inherently psychedelic “Puddled” playfully exhibits experimental ideas mingled atop heavy bass. CloZee’s remix of Dream Atlas showcases her graceful, international aesthetic which fits perfectly with the gentle harmony of the original. The seductive and smooth 6AM takes the mood down a notch, providing a bit of breathing room before Perkulat0r’s remix rounds out the album with a minimal yet luscious Trap affair.

Lords of Acid, the Belgian electro-industrial-techno outfit fronted by the legendary Praga Khan, has returned with Deep Chills, the outfit’s first new album in twelve years. Khan &amp; longtime collaborator Erhan Kurkun (music and arrangements) follow up the smash success of the comeback single Little Mighty Rabbit with an all-new sonic orgy, and this time they have invited along musical perverts Murv 3 (bass), Virus (Guitar), Krk (Drums) and DJ Mea (Vocals). With Deep Chills, the Lords once again defy convention, expectations, and some would say, standards of decency. From the Our Little Secret era influenced bounce of “Pop That Tooshie”, which features adult film starlet Alana Evans guesting on vocals, to the driven, acid house flavored, anthemic beats of “Children of Acid” and the elecro-rock vibe of “Love Bus”, Deep Chills offers an innovative, updated take on the deviant sounds that make Lords of Acid so loved. Not ones to shy away from a little experimentation, Khan and co. expand their musical repertoire in all sorts of interesting directions. The surf rock and punk flavored “Surfin’ Hedgehog” will have you singing along instantly. The alt-country tinged “Slip N Slide” answers the question “What if Cowboy Junkies wrote really, really dirty songs?” The track “Paranormal Energy ” features guest vocals by Zak Bagans (TV Host/ Producer for Ghost Adventures &amp; Paranormal Challenge, NY Times Best-Selling Author of Dark World) and blends dark, menacing, stabbing trip-hop, haunting synths, and classic Lords of Acid grooves.

All in all, Deep Chills proves that Praga Khan remains one of the most innovative musicians in circulation. From the raw carnality of their 1991 release Lust to the electro-thrash of 2000's Farstucker, Lords of Acid has re-defined the pure pleasures of drugs, hedonism, and deviant sex for nearly twenty-two years. Now, despite numerous lineup changes, world tours, over 2.5 million album sales, and every possible point of crisis and conflict a band can face, Lords of Acid is returning to the unsuspecting again, this time with a new crew of deviants, dilettantes, and sonically transmitted diseases.
