Shadowfigure Original Music

The 5th release from Structured Rhythms features a brand new original from label boss Shadowfigure called "Feel It". 

Including both an Original Mix and a Club Mix, Shadowfigure offers the dancefloor and DJs two flavors of the groove for those summer days and nighttime raves.

Aim's track "Underground Crown Holders" was originally released in 1999 and re-released on ATIC Records in 2014 on the compilation "Drum Machines & Vhs Dreams: The Best of Aim 1996-2006". Mixmag called it “a timeless retrospective of [Aim’s] best beats… reminding us of the haunting crisp aesthetics and cinematic breaks and samples that defined an era."

The groove inspired me. I play House music. The rest is history. Enjoy my remix, which probably doesn't hold a candle to the original release that surely inspired others. Now in my arsenal for DJ sets, paying respects to early innovators in electronic and hip hop music.

The original track from Aim "Underground Crown Holders" contains samples of "Sugar Me/Standing in the Road" by Klaus Wunderlich, "One Love" by Nas feat. Q-Tip, "Simon Zealotes" by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber and "Anything U Want" by Rae & Christian feat. QNC. Remixing it with a 2024 electronic modern twist takes this story to the next level. Everything's a remix of a remix of a remix. That's the beauty of music in our electronic age.

I've been inspired, so I made this unofficial remix of Beyoncé ft. Kendrick Lamar - Freedom which is Kamala Harris' campaign theme song. 

Play this loud and proud. If you're American, go out and vote for Kamala Harris on or before November 5th.

Disclaimer: I am not an American, but I am someone who cares deeply about America. I am a proud Canadian who loves the USA and wants to see it thrive. The impact America has on the rest of the world cannot be overstated. While this seems like a political statement (I guess it is), the music is made for dancing. Whatever your world view, let the music unite us and not divide us.

This is the first Drum & Bass track I've ever produced, inspired by one of the greatest hip hop tracks of all time, "Break Ya Neck" by Busta Rhymes originally produced by Dr. Dre. I put my own DnB spin on it and I'm pretty happy with the result. You may hear more stuff like this from me in the future.
