Live at WITP?

A bit sloth-wise belated, here is my recording from this year's Burning Man festival in the beautiful, but harsh desert of Nevada. Luckily I got the chance to stay at the lovely Ibiza Camp, which turned out to be a nest of international musicians that I knew only through their music and projects. So a lot of exchange happened, new friendships grew and endless hours of great music were around us every day. Inspiring times... I got the chance to play several times at this crazy place, mostly spontaneous and super fun back to backs with friends that unfortunately weren’t recorded… dusty disco bubble memories that will never die. But on Saturday afternoon I stayed in the oriental DJ booth – with that incredible view out into the open desert, on passing art cars and weird costumes.

Javi Trigo is a DJ and music producer who hails from Spain. With the temperatures increasing for the summer season, he usually plays in the notorious Spanish island Ibiza. Beyond being a free spirit, the music-lover Javi moves freely between various segments, always with straightforward ethnic influences, from Downtempo to Deep House.

Taroug is the solo project of german-tunisian electronic music producer Tarek Zarroug based in Cologne, GER.
As a drummer and synth enthusiast his music ranges from simple to complex rhythmic patterns over experimental modular synth design up to ethnic world music influences.
"Perpetual" consists of the two songs Perpetual and Eruca, and a remake of Perpetual by the Italian electronic music artist Hypsidia. This EP bears the first fruits after musical refocusing.
The title track of the EP describes an abstract sight of a wormhole existing in a humans mind. The eternal dance between closeness and distance. Between imagination and reality. Like a mirage in the desert.
