The blue lotus has deep symbolic meaning in several ancient cultures,. It is often associated with rebirth, enlightenment, spiritual awakening, and the cycle of life and death.  

Hathor, the ancient Egyptian goddess of love, beauty, music, and motherhood, was often depicted with the Blue Lotus flower. She was believed to bring joy, fertility, and protection to the people. The blue lotus  blooms along the banks of the Nile, its petals unfurling with the rising sun.
Symbolically, the lotus represents the sun’s power to banish darkness and bring forth light.

The blue lotus, with its narcotic properties, aligns with Hathor’s mystical abilities.
It is said that Hathor herself emerged from the primeval waters, much like the lotus rising from the depths.
