Anjuna SF Thanksgiving DJ Contest - Shell Robinson

Its the holiday season and this week's mix is chock full of presents for your ears!  There are two new bootlegs from Paul Losev, a remix of Everything But the Girl by Mash, Sistersweet & Maze 28's "Sunrise in Sri Lanka", unreleased music by Claudio Malz, as well as many of my favorite producers like Stan Kolev, Pinkowitz, Sebstien Leger (who I will see in SF on 12/13), Taylan, Marsh, Volen Sentir, Return to Saturn, Agustin Pietrocola, Will DeKeizer, Kostya Outta, Sultan and Shepherd, Digital Mess and many more.  I also put a couple of my own songs that just got signed.....more on that in January.. Shhhhhh!  :) There are also several newer producers (to me) in this 5 hour set. Shell Robinson stands at the intersection of classical training and electronic music innovation. A classically trained pianist turned house music artist, she brings a unique musicality to her productions and DJ sets that seamlessly blends technical precision with raw emotional depth.
Her journey in electronic music began in 2000 at Cleveland's "That Groovy Little Nightclub." Following the loss of her young son to a terminal illness, house music became a powerful outlet for healing and connection. Influenced by industry pioneers like Deep Dish, Digweed, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo, Shell developed her signature style through dedicated craftsmanship, starting with two Technics turntables and pure determination.
The early 2000s saw Shell establish herself as a resident DJ at Moda Cleveland and Amnesia Columbus, while touring nationally alongside D:FUSE, including notable performances at San Francisco's iconic 1015 Folsom and Austin's vibrant 6th Street district. Her sets are carefully curated journeys through house music's emotional landscape, known for their progressive buildups and engaging energy that resonates with audiences.
After taking time to raise her daughter while maintaining an executive career in PropTech, Shell has returned to the decks with renewed passion and fresh perspective. Her recent releases on inU and UV Noir showcase her evolution as an artist, combining her classical foundation with contemporary electronic production techniques.
Shell's sets blend technical skill with musical intuition, creating memorable experiences on the dancefloor. Her unique background as a vocalist and pianist adds layers of musicality to her productions, setting her apart in today's electronic music landscape.
