My Enemy

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records. 

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint. 

Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header. 

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode. 

With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

F.T.F.T Records proudly presents Collision Course, the latest two-track EP from Australian DJ and producer Che Jose – an artist who continues to carve his place in the global melodic techno scene.

The EP opens with the title track “Collision Course”, a high-energy melodic techno weapon designed to ignite dancefloors. Driven by soaring synth lines, hypnotic bass grooves, and Che Jose’s signature tension-building breakdowns, it’s a track that effortlessly blurs the line between emotive and explosive, tailor-made for peak-hour sets.

Track two is a fresh take on the classic track – “The Legacy” – This new reimagined version,' The Legacy Reborn' has a powerful peak-time techno twist. Darker, faster, and heavier than the original, this rework delivers thunderous kick drums and relentless percussion, giving DJs a perfect tool to push the crowd into overdrive.

With his recent string of Beatport-charting releases and continued support from global heavyweights, Che Jose’s Collision Course EP is a bold statement of where he’s headed next: straight into the heart of the dancefloor.

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. “Your Mind“ started as a tool mix that was made just for fun after playing the vocal in a b2b set with Paul Ritch at Awakenings. After the tool version was made it got road tested and the reactions were so huge adam & i decided to turn it into a full track. Together we teamed up to add more percussion, snares and a rolling acid line to complete it’s transformation into this massive techno bomb. 100% mayhem alert!

Senso Sounds complies Level 06, one of its periodic collections of new talent, showcasing how healthy the techno scene is right now. Kicking it off is the Amsterdam based DJ and producer Lilly Palmer, whose 'Listen To Me' is a fearsome, driving bomb with clattering percussion and some huge moments. Hamburg native Heerhorst drops 'Prisma', a deep, atmospheric techno cut that displays the producer’s affinity of massive, thick blasts of synth noise. Carbon offers up 'Softly Twisted' - an apt description of the track which teases with a silky groove before providing a slamming, slightly wonky dancefloor workout. French producer Timid Boy’s 'Onris' delivers an infectious melody underpinned with a firing, driving groove. As always with Senso Sounds releases, you get the feeling that the scene is thriving, and there's plenty more of this good stuff to come.
