The crew initially was founded by Hero & Konke and later many other artists, producers and DJ's were brought on board as part of the crew. Bereng 'Bee Deejay' Phokeng is a multi-award winning Cape Town based DJ/Music Producer/Entrepreneur & Entertainment Mogul. He is the founder of Generation Nxt Entertainment & BeeWear Urban Clothing. He is also the former head of A&R at Shaya Records as well being a resident dj on Metro FM for a more than 4 years - South Africa's biggest commercial radio station.

Bee started deejaying in 2006 and fast forward a number of years and multiple events hosted later, In February 2014 he was identified as one of a select few of artists in Cape Town to participate in the CTEMF (Cape Town Electronic Music Festival) Connect. A mentorship programme spearheaded by Red Bull & Made Agency that went on to see these artists being a part of the actual festival as well.

Bee has mentored a number artists some of which have gone onto to get award nominations and wins. A couple more even went onto to collaborate with big names such as DJ Maphorisa, Busiswa, DJ Tira and Dr Malinga to name a few.

Major events and festivals involved in include Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo, Cintron Pink Polo, iPotsoyi Festival South Africa, CTEMF (Cape Town Electronic Music Festival) and Rocking The Daisies to name a few.

At age 17, LRay, Saw an advert by Play Soho records, a local production team were searching for new talent and the team helped to arrange a demo package in the end of 2013. Making "The One" and "Too Hard", LRay began recording his debut studio single "These Girls"  in October 2014, and "Faded" in September 2015. Rhythm Soul is a house music trio hailing from the streets of Soweto in South Africa. The group is formed by Nhlanhla Joseph Maseli, Tshepo Hillary Setuke and Paul Brown Masenya. 
Rhythm Soul’s style of music is on a concept of afro and deep house music. Mad passion for music, mainly the house music genre, brought the individuals now known as “Rhythm Soul” together. The trio have been together since
the year 2011 and they have never looked back.
