Internationally-acclaimed DJ and producer from Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Suzuki has been  at the leading edge of the psychedelic trance movement for a quarter of a century. Besides his many accolades, more recently he is involved in the electro-analog Madskippers label, psychedelic-rock fusion band Joujouka, and the revival of his famous Matsuri Productions label as Matsuri Digital with DJ Yuta to bring timeless Goa to a new generation, while also focused on updating psychedelic sounds with 90s inspiration with Ubar Tmar with their GoKen project. Over a quarter century after his exposure to electronic music, Tsuyoshi and Matsuri are continuing to evolve and shape the global scene. Here is the set I played at the beautiful venue of Forest Soul Gathering in Montalegre, Portugal.
It was played as an opening for a night dedicated to Goa Trance on the Otherworld stage, from 00:00 to 02:00.
The lighting of the dancefloor was a bit null, but I could see a glimpse of the dancers, and it filled my heart with happiness to see many good friends and also people who I admire musically dancing and having a good time during the set.
Despite all the things that went wrong with the event's organisation, the vibe and happiness of the people made up for everything and turned this week into a memorable experience, as all the other previous editions were also.
I hope you enjoy the journey :)

ZNA 2019... the uttermost festival for pure goa-trance this summer! And they challenged me big time! :) To end the festival, they asked me to play a 4 hour set with futuristic goa-trance! The proof goa-trance is not only repitition of the "old", but leads a wonderful second life! Some more "rules". No music by artists that played on the festival, and because I would play during twilight time and darkness, I chose not to play too melodic/euphoric. Unfortunately, because of the virus that caught so many people, my set was shortened to 2.5 hours only during the event itself, but here you have the full set nevertheless! I was happy a lot of old school lovers came to me to say they were surprised to hear this type of modern goa-trance, and they didn't know it existed. :) Thanks again to Federico & Pedro for this chance and more important, thanks to all the artists and labels that kept goa-trance alive last decade! So, fasten your seatbelts and go on a serious 4 hours trip! :)

A remix of my August 20, 2019 set that closed the Goa Guardians pre-party at the ZNA Gathering in Portugal.

I had agreed to have my set recorded, but unfortunately the device was accidentally set to microphone mode when it was plugged in. The audio recording of the 'air' at the event, complete with cheers and whistles from the crowd, is also uploaded elsewhere on this channel, but this current upload is a high-fidelity remix of the same story flow.

This recording features the first 2 hours or so of my 2.5-hour set, the last half hour of which featured three rare tracks that I am reserving for live appearances only: the legendary 25-minute mix of Slinky Wizard's track Wizard (the DAT title is 'Solar Journey'), the end of which I mixed with the last portion of a 16-minute mix of The Infinity Project's 'Uforica' and the opening of an unpublished mix of Hallucinogen's 'LSD 93' (featuring a different sample than the one used in the released mixes of the track, the one that would later be featured in 'Demention'). For this set remix, I have added a few minutes of these three rare tracks as a kind of closing medley, similar to the final few minutes of my actual set.
