Bass heavy, energetic, and original. Hooves’ music is a richly coloured industrial sound scape of driving beats and sonic treats. He has carved himself a name in the international beats scene as a producer, live percussionist and DJ. Hooves’ slick production and composition, while drawing on his jazz and rock roots, has permeated his long line of solo and collaborative releases; enabling him to produce a live experience for audiences thick with passion, energy and bass. 

As a Drummer, Hooves has worked with some of the worlds best including one of the most recognised live D&B acts, Shapeshifter and, more recently, meteoric glitchhop star Opiuo in the Opiuo Live Band. He has entertained thousands in some of the worlds best arenas, frequented the iconic Shepherds Bush Empire and rocked along side greats at Glastonbury. As a regular at many of Australia’s leading venues and festivals he has DJ’d alongside Andy C, Calyx and Tee Bee, London electricity, Black Sun Empire and many more.

With more than 7 years of international solo and collaborative releases under his belt he has had releases on the likes of State of Mind Music, Obsessions Recordings, and Anodyne Audio. More recently he’s been working with Addictech and Muti Music.

Working on projects with a long list influential Australian and New Zealand artists including JPS, Sean Deans, Armin Payne, Ganga Giri, Syreneyiscreamy and Rayjah45 and further tinkerings with heavyweights MR Carmack and Thelem, Hooves is know as a  multi talented musician, producer, remixer, collaborator and engineer.

Pugilist is a Scottish/Kiwi producer and DJ living in Melbourne making a wide variety of underground electronic music. He has released music on record labels such as Modern Hypnosis, Samurai Music, 3024 to name a few and has recently launched his own imprint Ruff Kutz which will see a 12" release in 2025. Known for his well curated musical sets and versatility as a dj, with an armoury of unreleased dubs - no shazam necessary!

Electronic music has always been filled with innovative individuals, but even among such company, Dean Zepherin is a producer who has managed to find his lane and appeal.  Born and raised in London, a suitably eclectic city for a man of his musical persuasion he is renowned for his consistently genre-pushing productions, having also spent time in Berlin, it became another city that’s left its mark on his always-captivating sound.
To fully appreciate and understand Zepherin’s approach, it’s necessary to go back to his roots in Harrow, London as it was here where he first encountered soul, funk and jazz fusion records. From an early age he was obsessed with these out-there sounds, as well as their ability to metaphorically transport him to a world far away from the confines of his hometown.
Adopting a more electronic-based sound later on, he soon became a natural at conjuring up “house” tunes with more than a hint of soul, the likes of which spoke to his own Caribbean roots. In the process, Zepherin describes his own raison d’etre with concise charm as ‘championing the emergence of indigenous influence in electronic music’, something now so endemic to much of the most in-vogue house productions, displaying a worldview that values above all the organic and the human in this machine. 
While he’s undoubtedly best known for his work over the past nine years, establishing Tribe as one of the world’s leading labels pushing the afro and soulful envelope, his own legacy goes way back to 1988 when he released ‘Give me back your Love’ under the pseudonym Boyz in Shock, credited as the UK’s first soulful house record.
His label Tribe remains a vehicle for his many solo productions and collaborations and has hosted works and remixes from a diverse range of artists and legends across the electronic music board, as well as hosting his esteemed works with labels Defected, Suol, No Fuss, Soul 2 Soul, Vega records and Jack Trax. 
Zepherin’s productions deliver impeccable slices of soulful and afro sounds fused in a futuristic musicality in which he emphasises the tension that soul music can have, rather than the release. His tracks and particularly his dubs under his moniker Zepherin Saint, are often full of suspense and atmosphere – check his ‘Take You There’ on Suol, or his ‘Skyy and Butterflies Dubs’ released on his own imprint.
Equally respected as a DJ as he is a producer, Zepherin gained his schooling playing the London sound system circuit in the 80’s and managing the legendary Black Market record store in the 90’s.  His unique talents of playing dance music with no boundaries have been sought after in the likes of Japan, Africa, North America, Indonesia, Canada, Europe Australia and the Middle East, while on a club level he’s left his mark at world renowned clubs like Contact, Tresor, Watergate, Cielo, Stereo, Djoon, Ministry of Sound and Pacha. 
A man of many considerable sounds and styles, it’s hardly surprising that Dean Zepherin’s colourful and diverse approach continues to enthral clubbers and electronic music connoisseurs across the world.

Salmonella Dub began in 1992 crafting their name from the “bad-taste” dub cover versions of songs they used to break the ice amongst their original tracks in their early sets. In ’90s New Zealand, dub/roots/reggae freak-outs weren’t entirely in vogue — grunge and dance music held sway — so Salmonella Dub would use lighthearted covers of Nancy Sinatra, The Orb’s Little fluffy Clouds, plus Public Enemy and Fred Dagg’s “Larry Loves Barry” to win over skeptical audiences.

In the early ’90s, New Zealand’s liquor licensing laws changed, allowing pubs and clubs to stay open late and revitalizing the country’s live music scene. Members of the band then called Golf Course Alligators seized this opportunity and, in late 1992, Andrew Penman (guitar), Mark Tyler (bass), and Dave Deakins (drums) became Salmonella Dub. In the early days they lacked money for a sampler and used DIY solutions by hooking up an on/off foot pedal to the motor of a cassette player in order to drop samples by foot in real time from tape on stage. These samples would come from whatever was on the TV at the time, whether it was the news or a Cheech & Chong movie. Lacking the funds for cassettes, they raided the bins of a record store and found discarded copies of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles albums that served as their early tape stock.

To prepare for their first, self-titled album in 1994, Peter Wood (trumpet, keyboard) and Conan Wilcox (saxophone, percussion) were invited to join the band. Salmonella Dub was released through the independent label Curious Records. Following quickly from this album the band released Dub Tomfoolery a 7 track EP with mixing contributions from Mike Hodgson of Pitchblack.

Soon afterwards, Wood left the band, moving to Auckland and getting a job to pay his student overdraft. Around this time Penman made contact with David Harrow (ONU sound) through Grant Fell of the Headless Chickens. Harrow was employed to work on their next EP THC Winter the band’s first foray into Jungle and DnB in 1995.
