Welcome to the 100th Word Is Love Show and to mark the milestone we celebrate in the mix Studio 54's Birthday on the 26th April (opened in 1977) with a Studio 54 theme of Nu Disco magic. This is a show packed with Nu Disco new releases, remixes and Classics throwing down the very best Nu Disco in the spirit of the legendary Studio 54 in New York City.

There are reworked tracks of Studio 54 icons with music by Grace Jones, Sylvester, Sister Sledge, Gwen McCrae, Loleatta Holloway, Cerrone and D.C. LaRue. 

The artists on remix duty include Horse Meat Disco, Dave Lee, Louie Vega, Dimitri From Paris, JKriv, Luke Solomon,  Alan Braxe and a fantastic remix of Gwen McCrae's 'Funky Sensation' by Disclosure. 

The show uses a lot of music with samples from the Studio 54 day's of Disco plus there’s magic Disco remixes and Classics you have got to check out.

The Love Edits Vol. 10 is dedicated to the infamous Salsoul Records Label.

Salsoul Records was an American New York City based record label, founded in 1974 by the Cayre brothers. Salsoul issued about 300 singles, including many disco/post-disco 12-inch releases, and a string of albums in the 1970s and early 1980s. Artists such as The Salsoul Orchestra (led by Vincent Montana Jr), Aurra, Skyy, Inner Life, Rafael Cameron, Edwin Birdsong, Instant Funk, Loleatta Holloway, Civil Attack, Double Exposure, Love Committee(Gold Mind), First Choice, Joe Bataan, The Strangers, Moment of Truth, Vaughan Mason & Butch Dayo, Carol Williams, Jocelyn Brown, and Charo were at one time part of their roster.
This is my almost 2-hour-long tribute featuring edits, remixes and reworks by the best of the best reworkers out there.

This Set was recorded for my YouTube channel in 2015 and just became my second most listened to Mix with over One Million plays worldwide and counting despite the fact that its totally "Banned in The USA" on The Tube because of copyright restrictions. This "Funky" mix features music from one of my all time Favorite groups, The Incredible Band: Jamiroquai! Please Listen, Comment, Share and Enjoy!!!

I still remember the first time I stumbled on that first Jamiroquai CD. The year was 1993 and I walked by that Disc many times while shopping for 12 inch House Cuts at Record Time Music Store, right outside of Detroit. This day however, I remember picking up the CD "Emergency on Planet Earth" and being struck by the title and the cover, which was plain Black & White, but I could see through the side of the jewel case and see they had major Color and some Cool Art work on the inside. (I was intrigued) Mind you I still hadn't heard One Note from the album! :-) Well I took a chance that day and I was so glad I did. Jamiroquai's sound was so Jazzy Funky and just different. I was hooked...
My favorite tune on that first album: "Too Young To Die" leads off this Mix and "Lifeline" from their last official release: "Rock Dust Light Star" concludes the set. I'm really proud to have Remixes from all Seven albums represented on this playlist with; "Supersonic", "Cosmic Girl" and "Space Cowboy" leading the way. And I'm also proud to feature The Groups many different styles: Funk, Acid Jazz, Downtempto, R&B, and of course House! It was 1980 in Detroit Michigan where I first fell in Love with this Music. I was 13 years old and the Music of Choice for Me and my Friends was Progressive Dance Music. We didn't know it at the time but We were actually creating a Musical Lifestyle of sorts that would follow many of us the rest of our lives.

Sure there would be periods when no music was bought and no new mixes were produced, but time would go by and before you knew it This Music Thing would just Grab hold to Me again...

In 2012 My Musical Journey started again! This dance music would prompt me to start mixing on the web via my YouTube Channel with over 45K followers, and Soundcloud with over 5K and counting... This music would even take me around the U.S and as far away as Beijing China to DJ (Twice). I'm  really excited now more than ever because I am are currently living in Miami and DJing at my residency at N'Namdi Contemporary Gallery.
