Wow, "Volume 9" was totally inspired while gathering some tunes to play for a Good Friday project I worked on last week as well as the release of my brand new "Let There Be Gospel House T-Shirt" (Listed below). While I don't have as many physical records as I would like in this particular genre, I was able to find some inspirational "Gems." Its hard to do anything Gospel House related without playing a few bangers by Jasper Street Co. I featured a few by them but my favorite is their 2021 Grammy nominated "Paying for You" (Remixed by Louie Vega). This set also has some oldie but goodie remix classics by Gospel heavyweights: Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin. So with all that's going on in the world, let's just take a musical break and get our Dance On!!!

Jazz musician Gary Bartz has a classic song from way back in 1977 that says" Music is my sanctuary, music is my life." I've always loved that jam but I understand what Mr. Bartz was talking about now more than ever. Music is definitely my "Sanctuary."  The crazier things seem to get out here, the deeper I find myself diving into this music. I said all of that to say that "Volume 10" probably shouldn't be dropping so soon after "VS9" but I literally woke up in the middle of the night thinking about some of these tunes (I had to Play). While this set has some classic anthems, it's also sprinkled with an eclectic 'newbie' here or there. "This Can't Be Life" is one of those songs that's been playing over and over in my head since I received it a couple of weeks ago. This lyrics deserve at least a second listen and Swaylo's voice is simply divine. The tunes got little "Deeper" in the middle of the mix and towards the end we had to venture to the old "Shelter" in NYC with the help of Joe Claussell and Quentin Harris' amazing remixes. I hope you all enjoy the music...

I've been out of town away from my music for a few weeks, so I decided to clean out an old music laptop and I found this mix from 2013. At the time I only put it up on my Youtube channel and it has since been blocked in the U.S. for many years. I totally forgot about it! It was one of my Favorite sets at the time so I really hope you guys enjoy this musical "Rewind."

Wow, The Summer of 2013 had some Amazing Highs as well as some Major Challenges but then again that's Life! A high point for sure was Our second DJ trip to Beijing China for The Detroit Series (A monthly DJ event that features DJ's from Detroit). I was able to play another Four Hour Set of some of my favorite tunes and meet some fantastic people along the way. So with all of this "Life Happening" stuff I haven't produced a Mix in nearly 3 months, so This Mix is long Over Due! :-)

"Music is Life" features some New Gems by some Major Players: Ralf Gum, Tortured Soul with Black Coffee and DJ Husky just to name a few... I have redone my Studio so I plan on getting back on track with my Remix Production. (Fingers Crossed)

I can't believe I'm already on my fourth installment of The Vinyl Sessions. I must say that digging and playing these vinyl records has been a ton of fun so far. It seams every session totally takes on a musical life of its own and this one is no exception. Vinyl Sessions Vol.4

It was 1980 in Detroit Michigan where I first fell in Love with this Music. I was 13 years old and the Music of Choice for Me and my Friends was Progressive Dance Music. We didn't know it at the time but We were actually creating a Musical Lifestyle of sorts that would follow many of us the rest of our lives.

Sure there would be periods when no music was bought and no new mixes were produced, but time would go by and before you knew it This Music Thing would just Grab hold to Me again...

In 2012 My Musical Journey started again! This dance music would prompt me to start mixing on the web via my YouTube Channel with over 45K followers, and Soundcloud with over 5K and counting... This music would even take me around the U.S and as far away as Beijing China to DJ (Twice). I'm  really excited now more than ever because I am are currently living in Miami and DJing at my residency at N'Namdi Contemporary Gallery.
