As we continue to hunker down all around the world, it seems that the music is becoming more important by the day as a source of comfort and refuge. This short "Pop Up" Mix was inspired by my very first "Facebook Live" set that I did a couple of weeks ago. I played 3 or 4 songs from that upbeat session. I also wanted to honor Prince on the anniversary of his passing (4/21) and I wanted to end with the late great Bill Withers who just past away a couple of weeks ago as well. I can't believe I'm already on my fourth installment of The Vinyl Sessions. I must say that digging and playing these vinyl records has been a ton of fun so far. It seams every session totally takes on a musical life of its own and this one is no exception. Happy New Year you guys!!! 2021 has finally arrived bringing with it a host of brand new dreams and possibilities and of course some hot new music. I wanted to kick off the year with a brand new "Vinyl Sessions" featuring some funky brand new tunes sprinkled with a few classics. I even got a chance to squeeze in one of my all time favorite Soulful House songs: "Elevator (goin' up) by Louie Vega and Monique Bingham. Man, I love that tune! I once saw King Britt play an all vinyl set maybe 15 years ago or so in Atlanta and KB's tunes basically told a musical story throughout the night. He definitely took us on a "musical ride" that night, its funny because I always think about that amazing set when I'm putting together some vinyl.

Arise Radio Feat. Black Terry & Jozana February 28, 2021

It was 1980 in Detroit Michigan where I first fell in Love with this Music. I was 13 years old and the Music of Choice for Me and my Friends was Progressive Dance Music. We didn't know it at the time but We were actually creating a Musical Lifestyle of sorts that would follow many of us the rest of our lives.

Sure there would be periods when no music was bought and no new mixes were produced, but time would go by and before you knew it This Music Thing would just Grab hold to Me again...

In 2012 My Musical Journey started again! This dance music would prompt me to start mixing on the web via my YouTube Channel with over 45K followers, and Soundcloud with over 5K and counting... This music would even take me around the U.S and as far away as Beijing China to DJ (Twice). I'm  really excited now more than ever because I am are currently living in Miami and DJing at my residency at N'Namdi Contemporary Gallery.
