Spring Forward

Two brothers with a passion for uplifting, boot stomping music from the African Continent!  We Started the night way back in 2013 at the excellent ‘Looking Glass’ in Bristol. We’ve held down our residency at The Plough for a good few years now and looking forward to pushing things forward into Cosies for a Thursday night residency! Straight up dance floor goodness from Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa and everywhere in between! x

Born in Dallas, Texas, with the actual surname, MR. LOVING, is an Amsterdam-based queer nomadic DJ pioneering Reconstructed Dance Music (RDM)—4-track live-mixed sonic collages across House, Nu/Disco, Funk, Tropical, and other globally inspired beats.

Ever since I picked up my first set of turntables and vinyl over 20 years ago the passion for collecting music and Djing has been insatiable. 

I started off at the age of 16 in the late 90's when trance was the big genre, however it was upon listening to a Danny Rampling mix that I became obsessed with the more funky/disco house sound.

I began playing out in clubs from the age of 17, whilst still studying my A Levels.

I moved to Liverpool as part of my studies and was immersed in the club scene, getting to see some of my heroes and often behind the DJ booth watching them and picking up so much information.

Since returning to Jersey I have managed to play in all of the main venues here, from a 5 year residency at Tanguys to supporting various local nights in Rojos, Ce Soir, The Royal Yacht, WonkyTown, Reasons Festival among many others, and from time to time I have feature mixes on BBC Radio Jersey. 

I now offer a fully mobile DJ service too for any private parties!

Festivals, weddings, birthdays, roller discos, village fetes, sound system and some cars in a field, anywhere you want tunes played, I will happily come and play them. Bristol based, but can - and will (and like to) - travel.
