Bio:

A lot of people worldwide know about LEMON8 as a producer but not that many people are familiar with the fact that he's an outstanding DJ in his own right too. Starting out in the 80's with hip-hop and funk at local clubs in and around the city of Rotterdam, he soon started to pick up house music and started organising his own parties. That way he met some influential DJ's while trying to get some openings for himself. It worked, and soon he had his big break by becoming resident at Holland's biggest and most influential club at that time; Nighttown, where he played for more then 4 years. During that time he created MODEL8 as an anthem for his 'own' crowd followed by 'the Bells Of Revolution' 2 years later, which almost entered the UK top 40 again last year. Harry has now played virtually every club in Holland with some of the best DJ's worldwide, whilst producing the finest dance tracks that became a soundtrack of a generation.

As we are well into the new millennium, Harry Lemon has set out to break new barriers with a series of records that all bare the same title; 'The Inner Sanctuary Sessions', to be releases in 6 (1) parts, each containing 2 tracks. He created a buzz with the first one containing 'Black 'n White World' and 'Tunnelvision', which made quite an Impression in the Progressive Scene worldwide. But it was after the release Inner Sanctuary 2 that he gained international respect with 'TRIPLE FUNK' and 'THE ONLY WAY', considered by most DJ's as a progressive landmark.

He now is one of the busiest remixers, with mixes for the most influential progressive labels the world over. On top of that he's releasing 2 different tracks on John Digweed's Bedrock label that will definitely put him on the A-list of DJ/ Producers worldwide.

Around Us Invites LEMON8

The yearly Classics three day reunion party is an event I look forward to each and every year and this year was no exception. I always love this weekend with great house music and great friends and am honoured each and every year to close out the event.

I had a bit of free time this week so I jumped into the home studio for a few hours to revisit the music I played to end the event last week. I am notoriously terrible at waiting for the actual live recordings and always prefer to present a mix of just music without any of the additional mic announcements that would have occurred during the actual event.

So here is a live re-recording of something very similar to what I played. It's always a unique event for me as I typically program my set a bit backwards and get slower & deeper to help shut the event down (no ending an event with the insanity of something like RHCP @ Woodstock 99 lol).

A great collection of organic and progressive house for your listening pleasure.

Hello Everyone, welcome back to the PFG Progcast! Fly with us every Wednesday as we scour the globe looking for those perfect Progressive beats! 

Stopping at the home of a girl whose very DNA is entwined with rave culture, our DJ today has only really just taken to the decks in the last few years. She's landed a few hot residencies, and with this guest mix aims to show us all where she is in her career progression .. we think its coming along just fine!

Based in England's leafy Loughborough, Candy Dupree Webb began her journey into electronic music, and the raving that comes with it, in 1992. She had already been into dance music since reaching her teens, and went to her first ever rave at the age of 17! After a few years of attending hardcore, drum and bass and jungle raves, it was The Man Like Sasha that initially turned her ear to the house music scene.

Following that, Sasha's world dominance with John Digweed and their game changing back to back DJ sets, locked Candy into the groove and took her down the Progressive House route. As it is the same for millions of us in the scene, Renaissance: The Mix Collection album changed the way she understood music and the art of mixing, forever.

It has taken nearly 20 years for Candy to transfer her wealth of knowledge in front of the decks to behind them. After being urged to put her passion for the scene and its music into something more fruitful than just messing around at after parties, it was the recent global pandemic and subsequent lockdown's, that finally saw Candy take the plunge. This time away from her beloved clubbing focused her mind on her mixing, the results of which are now bearing fruit.

Shortly after, Candy bagged a residency with PHUK, and has several head line DJ Show's online now. Top of these is her Saturday night slot on Subcode Club, playing alongside many of her DJ heroes! 

'I always try to think outside the box, finding tracks that aren't always the frontline ones. I dig deep and try to create my own style, so the journey is refreshing to the listeners...'

I was always torn about sharing this mix, the source file I had was pretty low sound quality and it wasn't my best work behind the decks... lot of nerves and as at midnight it turned my birthday! huge crew in support, it was all but impossible to stay sober 😂 Just a couple of sightly iffy mixes but one almighty cluster-fuck of a train wreck so I just couldn't bring myself to host it.

So I've recreated it breathing fresh life in to it in terms of sound quality and the mixing!!!
