Hello Everyone, and welcome to the first exclusive Progcast from 2022. We continue with our quest to find those perfect progressive beats, so wether you're new to this or a frequent flyer, strap in tight!

Our first mix of the year sees us land in England, and the home of a seasoned rave veteran. With over 25 years industry knowledge to his name, and a CV that writes itself, PFG are proud to kick off a hopefully brighter year.... with MOONFACE!

Deeply entrenched with more than 30 years in the music industry, MOONFACE is transcendent with hope and positivity, his online catalog growing with a stack of releases, remixes and DJ compilations.

His exposure to the superstars saw Sasha choosing “U Get So Give” for his legendary E-Mix in 2000, and then John Digweed signing “Futurized Fears/Overactive" as a double A side for his then brand new Bedrock label. Following this came a mini album, "BETWEEN WORLDS" sold out globally way before the dawn of the internet!

Many top DJs from Burridge, Pappa, Howells, Tenaglia, Cattaneo and Cox supported the MOONFACE sound back in the golden age of dance music, and it was Danny Howells who Phil took over from as Bedrock resident. For 5 years he warmed up in London and Brighton! 

Phil was also touring the globe, playing at many festivals and events while flying the MOONFACE flag. Hot spots in Bali, Japan, Russia, Eastern Europe, Georgia, Malta, and South America. He also held up a long-term residency at the legendary Decadance club Thessaloniki, Greece.

Then came his more recent single "Across the Gulf of Space" released on Bedrock 18 -Signals compilation.  Along came releases, remixes and label compilations for Krafted, Tulipa, Gibbon and Mirabilis, Wolf Trap & Mind-warp, to add to his already glittering back catalog. June 2019 was the most recent mixed compilation, called "FREAKIN’ PROGRESSIVE VOL.1" on label Freakin303.

2020 sees Phil continue to host his FUTURIZED monthly show on Frisky Radio plus presenting his vinyl only live streams via YouTube whenever he's in the mood. December 2020 saw Phil self-releasing for the first time his new double album exclusively on Bandcamp called "PUSHOVER MANKIND". A collection of 8 weird abstract chill out style tracks, and 8 dance floor underground style tracks.  

In 2021 Phil and other Krafted DJs had a show on Radio 1's "Wind down zone" with Paul Sawyer. Then in April John Digweed aired his 5th transitions show (866) featuring only Moonface productions and remixes gaining over 14,000 listens.  One track included called "U Have to Change" was supported by John Digweed in his DJ sets, then went on to be remixed by Nick Muir taking it in a new dance floor direction.

Towards the end of 2021 he started a new monthly Livestream called MOONFACE Plus DJ Mates, featuring Phil's DJ/Producer friends, over on YT, Twitch & Mixcloud. ENJOY THE MIX!

With a  consistent 3 year residency at renowned music festival Cream, music producer @steveparrydj has been making noise for himself in the techno realm. The DJ and promoter made headway in the DJ sphere with his sessions called ‘Alderaan’ nights which took place between the late ‘90s to early 2000s, just above the influential DJ venue Lemon Lounge.

Our first artist, fresh off the back of an LNOE EP, is always pushing the envelope on what we would describe as underground dance music. Throw your expectations away, get with this program, and make some noise for Ben Watkins, AKA Robots With No Soul! 

Don't be fooled by robotic motifs – Robots With No Soul is an electronic battle cry for authenticity. The British techno renegade is driven by a pit-of-the- stomach feeling. There is no boxing, packaging or mass-producing of his off- kilter drum beats, raging basslines and emotive melodies.  Rejecting mechanical, copy-and-paste culture for something far deeper, his music is a personal exploration into the possibilities of sound...

Robots With No Soul quickly caught the attention of modern techno's most distinctive duo, Dense & Pika. After joining their roster to play the Watergate Berlin main room, Ben released his debut album “Rose” album on their acclaimed Kneaded Pains label in 2020. 

The release of "Sedonda Circle" on Sasha's LNOE imprint last year, further elevated Ben's profile.

Hello Everyone, welcome back to the PFG Progcast! Fly with us every Wednesday as we scour the globe looking for those perfect Progressive beats! 

Stopping at the home of a girl whose very DNA is entwined with rave culture, our DJ today has only really just taken to the decks in the last few years. She's landed a few hot residencies, and with this guest mix aims to show us all where she is in her career progression .. we think its coming along just fine! 

Put your hands together for Candy! 

Based in England's leafy Loughborough, Candy Dupree Webb began her journey into electronic music, and the raving that comes with it, in 1992. She had already been into dance music since reaching her teens, and went to her first ever rave at the age of 17! After a few years of attending hardcore, drum and bass and jungle raves, it was The Man Like Sasha that initially turned her ear to the house music scene.

Following that, Sasha's world dominance with John Digweed and their game changing back to back DJ sets, locked Candy into the groove and took her down the Progressive House route. As it is the same for millions of us in the scene, Renaissance: The Mix Collection album changed the way she understood music and the art of mixing, forever.

It has taken nearly 20 years for Candy to transfer her wealth of knowledge in front of the decks to behind them. After being urged to put her passion for the scene and its music into something more fruitful than just messing around at after parties, it was the recent global pandemic and subsequent lockdown's, that finally saw Candy take the plunge. This time away from her beloved clubbing focused her mind on her mixing, the results of which are now bearing fruit.

Shortly after, Candy bagged a residency with PHUK, and has several head line DJ Show's online now. Top of these is her Saturday night slot on Subcode Club, playing alongside many of her DJ heroes! 

'I always try to think outside the box, finding tracks that aren't always the frontline ones. I dig deep and try to create my own style, so the journey is refreshing to the listeners...'
