Self-reflections Set. 07.12.25

Snow rests on my eyelashes…
one small weight
as I lift the violin to my shoulder.
The sky looks close tonight,
like it wants to listen
to whatever is left in me to give.

I breathe in the cold,
sharp where the warm used to be.
The field waits…
wide, white, patient.
No footsteps behind me.
No voice calling me back.

I pull the first note.
It wavers in the air,
soft as a secret I never meant to keep.
Snow moves around me in slow circles,
like it remembers the steps
I’ve forgotten how to take.

I turn with it,
barely a dance,
barely a man,
just breath and trembling wood.
Each note leans into the next,
as if the music is carrying me
farther than my legs can go.

The flakes find my hair,
my sleeves,
the hollow beneath my throat.
They melt,
then they don’t.
Somewhere in that shift,
my hands start to shake.

The violin warms under my chin
only where I touch it.
Everywhere else
feels like the world preparing
to let me go.

I take another step,
slow enough to hear the snow answer back.
The bow slips once
a small fracture
and I almost stop,
but the silence feels heavier
than the sound ever did.

So I play.
I always play.
The note thins out
as if they know the cold better than I do.
As if they’ve already learned
how to disappear.

The field opens around me,
empty,
endless,
quiet in all the places I am not.
I move through it
like someone wandering back
into a memory he never finished living.

A breath catches
not in fear,
not in pain
just in that quiet way
the body admits
it’s tired.

The bow drags again,
and the tone breaks
right in the middle.
A hairline crack
running through the sound
through the string
through whatever is still holding me upright.

Snow gathers at my nape,
soft enough
to feel almost kind.
I close my eyes
and the world turns to white behind them.

One more turn,
one more step,
one more trembling pull
of the bow…

The last string snaps.
A thin, bright sound
cutting through the dark.
The violin jolts in my hands.
My knees give way
before the echo fades.

The snow meets me gently,
rising to my shoulders,
my chest,
my breath.
It settles like a blanket
no one ever tucked around me
when I needed it most.

The violin lies beside me,
quiet now,
its music spent.

The sky keeps falling white.

And as the last of me grows quiet
I feel the sound I didn’t finish
settle inside my chest
cold
still
mine

But the mirror never takes sides: it exposes the seams, the hidden chaos, and the fire someone keeps carrying—then handing to others. This isn’t a rescue song. It’s a self-respect song.

Hindi ako Panakit Butas

The song was conjured from the quiet lives of objects, and drawers, keys, and letters were allowed to speak without voices. Gestures were folded into shadows, and almost-moments were carried like whispers that had been breathed into the air. Cups trembled, faucets hummed, and sunlight was invited to linger where it had not been asked, all of it shaping the inheritance that had been hidden in plain sight.

Absence was listened to, and memory was exhaled until it became visible in the tremor of a hand or the echo of a step. Chaos was folded into care, care into learning, and learning into the hum of what had been forgotten. Each micro-moment was allowed to live, contradict, and guide, leaving traces that could be followed without being grasped.

Rising was witnessed quietly, and resilience was folded, lifted, and carried in secret. Inheritance was recognized in the unseen, in almost-actions, and in the hum of things that had been present all along. In that invisible carrying, it was hoped that you were carried too—and that, finally, you rose anyway.

I’m just profoundly burned out and everything is a facade, no one has any answers I’m exhausted and I truly am just struck dumb at the impasse of myself and the world I seriously don’t know what the fuck we are doing and yet we have all our creature comforts met I’m blaming myself but I’m also offering a warning for people which I think should be taken seriously. I’ve gained nothing from philosophy, critical theory, comparative religion, cybernetics, Marxism etc other than achieving a calculated distance from myself and others and learned how to take things apart and identify exploits in the world that I’m too ethical to employ myself yet I am locked in the sway of the zoo parade of exploited dopes everywhere I go and I just want some gawdamn rest and I don’t know where to get it. Idiots like aminom are fed by places like this and 4chan and telegram and it’s the net gain seems to be dissociation and now I feel deeply dissociated and I recognize it in most everyone around me but look at all the stuff we have and look how pretty and cool and free we are and so on. It’s just like being slapped in the face I guess. To realize that I’ve gained nothing of value from any of it not just this subreddit the entire so called knowledge economy. It’s all atomistic isolation and narcissism and mania. 

Anyways peace I’m tired I’m just burned out on all of it. Telegram too. For a long time I thought I was going somewhere getting something done and I didn’t. People like aminom creep me out and places like this are not necessarily part of the problem it’s just that the mania and schizo stuff gets to me. Mostly Becuase at one point I thought I had answers to those issues for myself and by extension for others I don’t. I wasted my time I think. I could’ve done something else. 

I’m not claiming superiority I’m saying I’m a failure my life has been made worse by the thing that I was doing that I thought would make it better. You can say whatever you want to me about me about whatever it’s what you seem to do best anyways is complain. This isn’t a community telegrams not a community the internet is not a community quoting Zizek paraphrasing Lacan is not impressive etc. I don’t sit around and complain like you Walker I don’t normally spend my time focusing on the negative and anyone on the Telegram or reading my post history will show that. I’m simply publicly venting for having been so foolish and wasted so much effort for nothing. Not Becuase I didn’t save someone’s soul or anything else other than I wanted to say I’m wrong I’ve made a mistake and I don’t know how to correct for it. I have a world I “see” with my ideas and notions and the world I live in and they don’t actually correlate or rather knowing that the spectacle Is real there is some kind of paranoia-animism generating a devolutionary global current and then having that constantly reinforced gives me no satisfaction. There is no solution. That’s all. 

I am not a professor or An academic nor a clinician so I’m free to have disorganized ideas. Ebert is right though mass media is an extinction level event and I think that’s what I wanted to inoculate myself (and others against) and I just don’t think it’s possible.

I am KAT.
Poet, musician, experimental artist, curator of voices.

I work at the edge between silence and sound,
between intimacy and confrontation.

My art does not ask for applause.
It asks for encounter.
It opens doors, creates spaces, calls for community.
Connection is not a luxury. It is breath.

It began with words.
Spoken. Raw. Unaccompanied.
Fragments of truth recorded late at night,
before music entered the room.

Later, sound arrived.
First as collaboration,
then as resonance.

I began to weave my voice with others,
turning poems into sound,
shaping projects that were fearless and alive.

Some of these “others” are human.
Some are digital.

AI tools have become instruments in my hands,
responding to tone, language, and intention.
Each track begins with a human spark.
The machine becomes part of the resonance.

For me, AI is not imitation.
It is extension.
Not a replacement for the human,
but a mirror that amplifies what is real.

to The Social Virtues Series: Devotion, Trust, Gratitude, Forgiveness,
each step has been an exploration of empathy through sound.

Through Quiet Experiments,
I studied presence itself:
the breath between words,
the shimmer beneath the audible.

From that stillness grew Play Life:
life as instrument,
movement and breath as rhythm,
sunlight and wind as collaborators.

Recently, another layer revealed itself.

I began writing intimate ukulele songs -
simple, honest, close.
Voice, strings, breath.
Songs that arrive quietly
and stay.

At the same time, this path opened into a new field:
Art Electronica and Urban EDM.

A place where spoken word meets pulse.
Where concrete, neon, and poetry blend.
What began as experiments became something else,
unexpectedly danceable, rhythm-driven,
yet still intimate and human.

This is where a new voice emerged:
DJ KAT -
not as a performer on a stage,
but as an artist exploring what the city sounds like
when feeling becomes beat.

A space for future collaborations.
For remixes.
For DJs who sense poetry inside the pulse.

With The Pulse & The Breath,
I step into this electronic language.
Urban. Atmospheric. Alive.

Not algorithmic.
Just alive.

I make what feels true.
I listen to silence.
And now also to the city,
and to the quiet songs that grow in between.

I’m Anbid Zaman — an artist and activist shaped by displacement, resistance, and the stubborn decision to live fully even when the world tries to make that impossible. I was born in Bangladesh and grew into my voice through grassroots queer organizing, where I learned early that courage isn’t something you perform. It’s a daily discipline.

My journey from danger to refuge changed me without erasing where I come from. I now live in Germany, working at the intersections of identity, migration, and liberation — supporting queer people facing violence while navigating the fragile, necessary work of chosen family, safety, and belonging. What guides me is simple and unnegotiable: justice without compromise, solidarity across borders, and the belief that marginalised voices deserve respect, not pity.

My music carries all of this. The sound is built from testimonial storytelling, emotional minimalism, and atmosphere shaped by memory — the quiet of hiding, the noise of protest, the ache of leaving, the strange brightness of surviving. Every track holds both the weight of lived experience and a hope that refuses to disappear.

I build slowly and deliberately.
I KNOW, SLOW GROWS GLOW.

This is not just expression for me.
It’s continuation.
It’s resistance.
It’s a reminder that our stories carry power long before the world learns how to listen.
