Mulya and Sobek author our next Chapter, reprising a creative relationship which has already borne significant fruit. Their work has seen them find a home together with labels including Monaberry and TAU, while they have been picked up individually by imprints including Bedrock and Get Physical.

Here they offer three big hitters. Title track Mirrored Screen opens things in style, its chunky afro techno groove offset by an enigmatic synth line and a choppy single note pattern that is laden with tension. Tribal vocals add to the mix before the main hook opens out and satisfyingly hits home.

Shaking Hands is the follow up, built around a distorted, pitching percussive groove for a determinedly heads down, wild affair that is bound to move the dancefloor.

Rounding things off, Hard Curve is just as heavyweight. Equally moody and foreboding as it is hypnotic and driving, it comes paired with an Edition by breakout artist Rinzen (mau5trap). Rinzen's rework is progressive and euphoric, communicating and deploying a sense of scale that is reminiscent of classic Sasha or Stephan Bodzin.

Rinzen's Edition makes for a fitting closer to a very strongly rounded EP from Mulya & Sobek.

Our long date friend Mala Ika joins Family NAME records.

In this, her latest opus, she gives us two very fashionable tracks combining the rough, pumping sound aesthetics of Dark Disco and Indie Dance propelled by an insistent groove and ‘80s synths & some deep-plunging modulating basslines, both sweet and undeniably uplifting.

The EP is accompanied by a remix from label bosses APM001, their interpretation of "Weirdos in The Rain" is based on a mighty bass to keep the dark disco vibe, supported by some nice melodic techno elements, energetic drums and with a heavenly voice see mystical, a real treat.

ikaro's unconditional love for music arose while he grew up in Poperinge. A small yet cozy town in West Flanders, Belgium. Surrounded by youngsters and friends, IG's interest in various genres of music rose day by day. Whilst visiting clubs in Kortrijk, Ghent, and Antwerp, he broke into producing his own music. While Ikaro was acquiring tons of knowledge and tricks, he kept on developing his own style.
His style can be sketched as a deep yet slightly ambient style dominated by classical influences. 
He tries to combine this hypnotic style with the art of silence. He was inspired by great musicians but also by his friends from his hometown.
But the main source for his inspiration is the sound of nature.

Milan-born DJ and producer Auggië teamed up with Enrico Sturm to produce Vrasnavar, a genre-bending, time-signature-defying analogue extravaganza. The track begins with a simple three chord guitar rhythm, but Auggië spurns all expectations with sudden, off-beat drums and clattering percussion, taking the listener on an erratic journey that’s both simplistic and complex at the same time. Eery violins and high-pitched synths pierce through the discord making the perfect soundtrack to a haunted house tour and a production that’ll make you feel lost, then found, then lost again.

Premiere: Auggië feat. Enrico Sturm - Vrasnavar (Original Mix) [Sum Over Histories]

In today’s electronic music world there are not many artists who can lay claim to a legacy like that of DJ T. Born in Dusseldorf, DJ T. (aka Thomas Koch,) re-located to Frankfurt with his family in the late 70s. During his formative years, he fell for the hypnotic grooves of disco, inspired by his parents’ record collec-tion. At the age of nine he was already completely enraptured by music and that love affair continues until this very day. He began an obsessive quest to collect music, feeding his soul with everything from Disco and Hi-Nrg, through to early Hip-Hop and Electro, Soul, Funk and R’n’B. The groovy, infectious rhythms of all those genres continue to permeate into the music he makes and plays today, providing an intrinsic part of his sound ethic. 
He took up breakdancing, before becoming a DJ, playing at private parties ini-tially before landing his first professional gigs in the late eighties. This period proved to be a pivotal moment in his life as Acid House swept through Europe, landing in Frankfurt and taking over with the launch of Sven Väth’s legendary Omen club in 1988. The first wave of House and Techno took hold and T. was there at the forefront, absorbing all the fresh new sounds from Chicago, Detroit and the UK. He picked up a residency at the infamous Music Hall and held resi-dencies at countless clubs across the city during the next 10 years from Plastik and Dorian Gray to The Box. By the end of the nineties, he was one of Frank-furt’s best-known selectors. 
In 1989 DJ T. tapped into another side of his creative energy to set up Groove Magazine. Identifying a gap in the market and fuelled by a need to satisfy his own desire for specialised music journalism, which focused on his interests – namely underground dance music. Under his leadership the magazine was launched into the public’s consciousness and he guided Groove to become one of Europe’s premier dance music publications, which it still is today. 
DJ T.’s progression continued at a pace, as he launched his own club, Monza, using the experience gained through a decade of club events and tours under the Groove Magazine banner. He also invested his skills and knowledge into con-ceiving Get Physical – a label, which remains one of the world’s best- known House and Techno platforms. Though he left in 2010, T. still occasionally A&Rs for the label, lending his uncanny ability to uncover new talent to the seminal label. 
Production-wise, he has been consistent ever since his debut release, the ‘Mon-sterbaze’ EP with Steve Bug, which was released on Poker Flat in 2000. Since then, T. has released several well-received EPs, a slew of remixes and three al-bums, ‘Boogie Playground’ in 2005, ‘The Inner Jukebox’ produced with Tho-mas Schumacher in 2009 and ‘Pleasure Principle’ in 2011. His special touch has also been employed by numerous labels to curate compilation mixes , including ‘United Under The Ball – 30 Years Of Disco’ in 2011 and ‘The House That Jack Built Vol 1 & 2’ in 2012. In 2013 he celebrated 25 years of DJing with a very personal mix compilation, followed also by ‘Body Language 15’ and col-laboration with Defected and Strictly Rhythm to celebrate the latter’s 25th anni-versary. DJ T.’s reputation for being a master selector has been cemented by these superlative collections of music, each of which has received widespread praise, often featuring many of T.’s own edits of classic tracks. 
Despite so many accolades, his passion for music remains staunch, recently making several key changes to his professional life that have inspired him to explore new terrains. With hot new releases on AUS Music, Moon Harbour, True Soul and Jackathon representing his continued to desire to push his crea-tive boundaries. 
A highly-skilled DJ and producer and an A&R with an uncanny ability to dis-cover a nurture new talent, DJ T. is a master selector and one of the industry’s most influential figures.
