Violent Cuts is back at Parallel Depth with his signature filth. 

Two years after ‘Embolism EP’ the andalusian leaves us with a two track single featuring ‘Mental Lash’ and a VIP version of ‘Embolism’. 

Much water has flowed since then for this young artist, for example, some releases on labels like Fuck About!, Black Monsta or the freebie platform Talayotik Recordings. For the label it’s been more than 16 references if we add both nationals and internationals artists in the catalog.

Leks makes his debut on ProgRAM with a mixture of lush rhythms and guttural basses, the type of which have made RAM’s sister-label a poster for versatility within its roster. A debut for the producer on ProgRAM, his forthcoming single demonstrates his viability to be part of its ever-growing catalog, with growling drum & bass spiced with soulful flavors. And it leaves a stamp for the artist to build from as the New Year rolls out.

‘Wasted Time’, the releases a-side, rolls with thumping bass levels tied with the track’s vocal textures; its reverse ‘Focus For Me’ continues with winding LFOs and razor-sharp beats, providing an even moodier offering. The ‘Mystery Machine EP’ brings 4 tracks of upfront drum and bass energy from the killer combination of Dunk and Exile. Fans of Dispatch will be familiar with Dunk’s heavyweight sound following his many collaborations on the label and his outstanding debut LP ‘The Music is my Life LP’ from 2021. Joining him is Birmingham’s Exile, last seen on Dispatch Limited in 2020, as part of NC-17’s ‘All Weapons Out EP.’

This meeting of production talent results in four tracks packed with funk and drive - each one packing serious bass modulation and exploring new depths, as the pair combine styles to form this unique sound.

Perfectly combining contrasting elements of serious bass weight and precision drums, this EP is set to be causing maximum dancefloor disruption.

MVRK - Fourier [Premiere]

The LA-based Connor q certainly hits the mark with his cold-blooded track ‘Nightfall”. Snarling bass textures twist up masterfully with a quickening rhythm and pulsating kick. The vocal “feels so free” guides the listener through an adventurous tech roller audio environment. One of this releases’ American drum & bass pillars, don’t lose focus or you may lose yourself in the infernal wake of this behemoth.
