Medicine Disco is an edgy, emotional, enigmatic alternative to Ecstatic Dance. A circular sonic storyline with twists and turns, power and flow. It demands honesty and the opposite of force. Medicine Disco is where we try really hard to not try hard. It's where we go to let the music and the dance do it's job with no expectations. No attachment to an outcome. There is no guru at Medicine Disco, there is no ego, there is no shaman. It is just us, dancing and letting "it" happen.  Special thanks to The Bengsons and their song "The Keep Going Song" for being a huge inspiration for this entire set.

This place brings out a bunch of stuck talent of mine. There is something about performing here where I take some more risks and feel so at ease about them. This set has funky groovy jazzy house into a few really sultry track,  into a nostalgic celebration using rare mixes of tracks elder millenials (me) went nuts for, then moves with ease into pulsing world beats and a favorite combo of mine I haven't done since 2022. I love this one.

The heart is not just about love and light. In our hearts, we hold all the multitudes that enrich our experience of love: we hold longing, grief, courage, terror, joy, transcendence, divinity, and the awareness of transience. In this ecstatic dance, therefore, we explore the entirety of our human emotional experience, in order to access the fullness of our hearts.

I played this set at the “Heartscapes” event, my third cacao ceremony-ecstatic dance-soundbath event with T&T Productions.
