(Early 2005) Final take, featuring world renowned trance divas including Jan Johnston, Elles, Sinéad O'Connor, Sarah McLachlan, Alexis Strum, Christine Mangels & the beautiful voice of Anne Clark with tracks & remixes from legendary Blank & Jones, DJ QuickSilver, The Thrillseekers, Delerium, Cosmic Gate, Kay Cee, Randy Katana, Sam Sharp, Paffendorf, CJ Stone, Svenson & Gielen, Airscape, Pulsedriver...After having produced a series of nonprofit, non commercial, underground trance mixed compilations in collaborations with many talented global, local underground DJs/Producers (1999 to 2005), I came up with a series of Epic Trance mixed compilations CDs & this set is one of them!

Behind Trance scene: Track selection/order altered, revised from original version as two records mysteriously disappeared from the crates before live mixing session started! WTF? Worst thing could happen to any DJ besides trainwrecking their sets!  "Blessfully", my personal bodyguard Miss. First time in a while I have done some proper recording on my own as I have been involved in collaborations and it has been nice to do my own material again. I'm glad I've shared that journey with y'all!!!

Behind trance scene:
Rescued & survived from storage HDD data fatal crash due to hardware failure. All digital audio data including trance mixed compilations produced between 1999 to 2005 tragically lost in the crash! WTF? Shit happens! 😉 Since I've never gone clubbing, bars hopping, attending rave festivals, live music concerts and definitely not world cup matches 😉...etc, I don't remember much as time kept passing by so quickly and found myself at this world renowned club https://1015.com/ where I've heard that only world #1 DJs including Tiësto, PVD, AVB...etc, frequently had their gigs! (although guest DJ slot kindly offered to me several times but I declined) I was there giving away demo CDs of this mix to clubbers and same demo CD has been virtually shared with y'all since I joined SoundCloud early 2014!

The making of this mix: 
Records enthusiastically cleaned => live mixed using Technics MK5 model SL-1210M5G turntables, Allen & Heath Xone:62 mixer => recorded in real time using Pro Tools => Uncompressed solid mix rendered @ -6dB master bus => Individual tracks bounced, individually mastered, noise, records hiss, pops removed, time coded, text info input for CDs audio replication => Individual tracks glued using Ableton Live9 => Uncompressed solid mix rendered @ 0dB => SFX added, converted to H.Q mp3 for your listening pleasure!

Originally created in 2004 and released on my second Album, "New Years Revolution", Fast is a little experiment I did in the Techno realm.

After 10 years of collecting dust, I was inspired by my good friend Trancix to do some remix work on this piece.  Just some D1600 drum machine, Prophet 600 synth, and a few movie quotes.  While I don't consider myself much of a Techno artist, I'm quite pleased with how this updated version turned out.

This (Revised Version) shares the same tracklist with (Original Version) & (Doonwest Version) both previously mixed by Doonwest using Ableton Live9. Unlike other versions, this (Revised Version) was live mixed & recorded in real time using Pioneer DDJ-SR Serato DJ controller 4-Decks enabled with different launched, mixed, cut points & 140 overall bpm...etc.

Behind trance scene:
Early 2013, severely struck by "nerve disorder syndrome" I could no longer spin records with one hand while the other constantly in sleep mode! Almost gave up DJing until Serato DJ initially introduced to me by our young dj friend whom I met offline. Thanks to DJ Szabo & thanks to Serato DJ! One handed DJing is possible! Although, both hands are essentially needed for knobs, buttons...etc, on controller/mixing console!

Production notes:
Most tracks used in this mix digitally captured from analog sources. Some hijacked from mixed cds (Don't tell anyone!) All newly remastered for mixing & recording. Noise, pops, hiss heavily removed during remastering process! Mixed, recorded in 16bit/48k/1,536kbps. Recently mastered in 16bit/48k using CloudBounce Desktop app with the following mastering specs:
Mastering style: Techno, 100% matching
Mastering options: Neutral EQs, Stereo Widening, Loudness -12.5LUFS

My Preferences:
Live perform & record my sets.
No headphones, no cueing, no looping, filters only used when necessary!

Our parties are very low keyed with nothing but tasty foods, quality boozes & awesome live dj music! For your own conveniences, cannabis club, neighborhood liquor store 1/4 mile walking distance. Fire house around the corner in case chicken party wings overcooked on the grill. Courtesy taxi services for overly intoxicated guests friendly provided by local sheriff department. Their substation located 3/4 mile from our patio! 😉

(Final take successfully achieved on 06/05th/2015! Live mixed, recorded using Pioneer DDJ-SR Serato DJ controller outside on patio with summer temperature reached 38C plus other distractions including cats fight, people dancing to the music heard from our patio, cheering with their hands waving in the air on the street! Luckily no 911 dispatched for noise complain, no deputy sheriff en-routed and showed up otherwise this live session would have been f***ed)😉

Parachuted, landed on a vacant DJ slot, armed with Serato DJ controller (gladly not Enfield SA80) 😉 loaded with Gatecrasher's timeless classics! Tonight, "Blue Eyes" takes on Gatecrasher at full assault! 😸

Behind trance scene: Due to my illness “nerve disorder syndrome”, nerve system keeps shutting down on me at anytime it pleases and when that happened, one of my hands goes into sleep mode. Thanks to digital djing including Serato DJ, Traktor Pro…etc, one handed djing is possible! Channels faders, headphones rarely used throughout this mix! All bands EQs heavily used! No cueing, no looping, no beatgrid editing, no quantized trigger enabled & no filters used! However, calculator often used to calculate beats for best possible launched, mixed & cut points…etc, most tracks digitally captured from analog sources, newly remastered for this live recording session!
