The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga) comes from @araberlin, They are two feathered friends and DJs from Berlin with deep love to slow beats, telling stories and hypnotizing their audience with their mix of heavy and melodic sounds. They also look the same from some distance, just like real Aras. A real Ara? It's a neotropical genus of macaws with eight extant and at least two extinct species. It's a parrot!

Finally I wanted to travel again and now: Travel ban, cancelled Afrika Burn and I haven't heard anything from the airline yet.

I decided to upload some of the nice tracks I found recently anyways. For a better quarantine. I am looking forward to the next African sunrise. A sunrise like the one which made me write this translated entry of my travel diary. One morning in Ethiopia:

It was I without light. My shadow, my silhouette in the bush. Alone but not lonely. Somewhere in Africa. A dot on the map. A red little lamp on the globe. Glowing eyes of children drive cattle through the forest. They sell cola. Good for the stomach. After a field of flowers the vastness of burned yellow grass got me thinking I am in a desert. The ride back was exhausting. The shower rewarding.

This is quite a dear project to me! A little compensation for my lost trips this year

Terra Incognita

What a weekend. Incredibly warm-hearted people, great area and so many good moments. A perfect little festival during these times. No one got infected as far as I know.

The first song is so so famous, everything so so clean. I had to cut my playing time due to circumstances. Pause the music during the set due to circumstances. My headphones broke.

No problem. The pause is cut out and during playing nothing really bothered me. Somehow a great flow took hold of me and it was a great gig. Now I am actually pretty happy with the set, which came out so so spontaneously : )

First live recording online. Big step for me

What are memories? What are these tiny fragments of images, sounds, and feelings that move slowly towards you, like waves on a shore? What if we translated these into sounds? Trying to capture the warmth and the washed-up imagery that float around so freely in our heads. Stripped down to the core of the sound. Sounds that swim through vast spaces in the universe that sit inside of our brain. The washed-up fragments come up to the surface, and they create beautiful chains of atmospheres that give you that dream-like state.

The gliding of the synthesizers, the texture of the sound, the raw and distorted buildups that take you higher and higher. Minimalism is essential, no drums, just heartbeats, processed through endless loops of cassette tapes, just like our childhood. Waves, forests, streets, cities, and private places recorded and layered around poetry and accompanied by guitars and bass blend imperfectly on the sounds you hear, and these are nuances of the past are the haunting thoughts that wake you up in the middle of the night.

These are Memories on Tape.
