Since he first came into contact with the labels "Kompakt" and "Pampa" about 15 years ago, the variation of abstract techno and house music has captivated him and has never let him go. In the beginning only a music consumer, he developed a passion for djing in 2009. Not only the driving groove is in the foreground.  In his sets he puts a lot of emphasis on a mixture of nebulous wafting ambient surfaces, rich and clear bass drums, clicking hi-hats, as well as dignified rhythm and tempo changes including some goosebumps moments. Despite his alternative touch, because of his suggestively dark appearance, his sets are suitable for dance floors as well as for couches.  Through the time he developed a passion for two styles.  Hypnodance and Hypnodream. The first represents hypnotic floor to the floor tracks and the second hypnotic downtempo.
Sometimes deep, sometimes rave, but still minimal driving.  
Since 2012 he is also a blogger and has started at DAS SCHÖNE LEBEN writing & supporting newcomer. Since 2013 he is also a leading member of @afterhour-sounds (since 2019 curator) and resident of @kollektiv-liebe , Australians @HALFWILD and Berlins @OEWERALL.

➳What is life all about? One of the questions that humanity is trying to answer for centuries now. It’s hard to break it down to one small piece hence there are so many aspects that could be highlighted.

Is it about finding the right partner in crime? Following our dreams?  Or realizing our purpose in life?

➳Our approach is simpler and brings it down to the core: it is about being happy and feeling joy in our actions. Isn’t this what it’s all about? Waking up, feeling good, motivated, and having a smile on our face. 

➳We are taking about a sensation where your body is alive, and you feel a warm layer around your heart and every bit of you is ready for some action, oooh yes. In this state we are celebrating life my man and now you are getting a feeling about what Alegria is all about.

➳All the earlier listed questions are also important but rather answer the How to become happy. We are digging even deeper where Alegria turns into a state of mind. Putting being happy in the center of our attention is the key to personal growth and feeling fulfilled.

➳This mix is a shortcut which automatically activates our good mood. Let’s enjoy the feeling while Alegria is slowly but surely conquering us. You can’t let go anymore and joy is spreading out from your head to your toe. Alegria is here and her majestic sounds are letting you realize that this is all you need.

Ce mois-ci, découvrons l'univers musical hors des sentiers battus de Pale Penguin.  Grigoris Savvidis est l'une des figures emblématiques de la scène électronique grecque. Basé à Thessalonique (où nous nous sommes rencontrés), il est DJ depuis plus de 30 ans. En plus de cela, avec la complicité de Freddie Wyatt, il a créé depuis 2011 l’événement «  the incredible Discoteca Internacional » (qui mélange musiques et influences des cinqs continents) au club réputé La Doze ainsi que dans différents endroits dans le monde. Depuis 2015, avec Larry Skg, il se concentre également sur leur nouveau « electronic afrotropicalismo label » : Shango records.

This month, let's discovered the unheard world music trip outside traditional paths of Pale Penguin. Grigoris Savvidis is one of the key figures in Greek electronic scene.
