After growing up on a steady diet of everything from Indian and western classical music, through to disco, hip hop, reggae, 1980s electronic pop and even heavy metal, Rajesh Deshpande first became involved with electronic dance music in the late 1990s. Initially gravitating towards the intense rhythms and chest-pounding basslines of jungle and drum and bass, his first forays into music production were made alongside his brother. Releasing and touring under the Vice Versa' moniker and thanks to the support from local Sydney DJs and underground radio stations, the duo managed to catch the attention of legendary drum and bass figures LTJ Bukem and Conrad. This led to a string of high profile releases on Bukem's seminal label 'Good Looking Records' (amongst others), as well as residencies in most of Sydney's major dance music venues. After a hiatus, Rajesh has rediscovered his love for music production and DJing in recent years. Always open-minded and keen to explore new territory, he found a new muse and appreciation for the moods and grooves of house music. The resulting 'Miraj (AU)' project has been met with solid support from taste-making underground artists and DJs within Australia and across the world. With releases on several labels including Melbourne's very own Valiant Records, Celestial Recordings (UK), EmbarrassedArts (UK) and Expmental (France) as well as regular appearances on playlists from the likes of Dilby (Poker Flat, 8bit, Crosstown Rebels), Graziano Raffa (Sudbeat), Marsh (Anjunadeep), Robyn Balliet, Gorge, and Steve Kelley, Rajesh continues to forge ahead with his own interpretation of the deep house genre.

Turning back has never been an option. With a career that transcends decades, continents, and genres, Jean Pierre returns with his second solo album called 'No Turning Back'. Pakate Records' nineteenth release signifies a real milestone in Jean Pierre's career.

It coincides with his 40th birthday, celebrating a path born in New York, Miami and now Barcelona, where the 12 tracks have been written and produced. After his debut album on Nervous in 2013, the Colombian artist felt the need to put together years on the road and in the studio between parties, records, and live jam sessions into a project that embodies his biggest passion, music, which never made him lose his way. Techno, house, and minimal are blended together with rich breakbeat loops, rumba rhythms, and hip-hop sounds into a 12-track ode to JP's endless influences and contaminations.
