I made this mix to honor this brand new era in my life, dedicated to my future self. A reminder that love comes in so many different forms. This year I’m choosing to prioritize my happiness over everything.

This mix is the soundtrack of me falling back in love with myself. This is day 001 of me taking back my power, knowing & embracing my worth, enjoying my solitude, listening to my intuition, and protecting my peace. Healing isn't linear & everything we could possibly want already exists within us. Here's to a brand new start.

Life has been busy busy lately as I fell short of hitting my goal of putting out a mix each month - I've been focused on my career, living in the moment, and cherishing loved ones. 

Nonetheless, I'm super happy to share this set I put together for @isoulationco a few weeks back. This event was hands down the funnest one I've played at thus far, as I got to play music I truly love. A combination of house, throwback edits, electronic, trap, dancehall, bounce, & hip hop, I present to you Bounce House: ISOULATION.

inspired by my favorite artist, manila killa’s upcoming album title “dusk” - a lot of my musical context happens on the road. i love driving and listening to music, sitting in the passenger seat and listening to music, turning up with friends in the backseat with the speaker on blast. listening to music in the car has always carried this meditative aspect to it and makes life feel like a movie. everything feels larger than life when you’ve got a good playlist going. this set is for those summer drives, hitting the road at sunset until the sun goes down. i love those moments in between - the transition from light to dark skies is always a vibe. hope you’ll make new memories on the road with this set <3

Not My Weekend, But My Year

djwavybb is a female Filipina house DJ soon-to-be producer hailing from Long Beach, CA building a name & brand for herself in the electronic music industry. djwavybb has performed in many cities such as Los Angeles, Orange County, the Bay Area, Seattle, New York, & Chicago at venues like Catch One LA, Bill Graham Civic Center, Halcyon SF, 1015 Folsom, Public Works SF & The Great Northern.

djwavybb started by playing many electronic themed parties like Sorry for Party Rocking, Club Blush and Shrek Rave & Big Bubble Rave. From there, she continued to pave her path in the electronic music scene by sharing the stage with electronic artists such as Snakehips, Manila Killa & Sam Gellaitry as well as Soulection artists such as Esta, Full Crate, Jael, Miles Medina & Olea. On top of performing in many bars & venues throughout the country, she’s also gone on tour for Thuy’s Girls Don’t Cry tour opening for artist Ashley Mehta as well as performed at 2 electronic music festivals, Breakaway Bay Area 2022 & 2023. 

Electronic music is the sound of djwavybb’s soul and is her ultimate love language. You can expect to hear a blend of a wide range of electronic music, ranging from all types of house, trap and jersey club from any of her sets. She blends in nostalgic favorites reimagined to connect with the crowd and keep them dancing & singing all night long. Through her art, she hopes to inspire other women to pursue their creative dreams, especially in the electronic music industry. Through music, she hopes to make an unforgettable impact on her listeners and make them feel what she feels.
