Not January No More

Trying to stay away from the Apiary related puns (and failing), here's a remix I've just done for my labelmates The Beekeepers.

Another remix I did last year, out now on the Air Recordings label. DJ Love has cooked up a smashing piece of party hip hop with the legend that is Special Ed, so it was a delight to get to remix it. I was channelling my inner Catfish that day I think :)

This song is a celebration of our favorite thing ever: friendship. It's about the kind of friendship where you can talk forever without anything in particular to talk about. Old friends, new friends, all friends! In the spirit of friendship, we just wanted to have some of our friends hop on a verse! We've been lucky enough to travel the world this past year and the best part of the journey is the friendships we have made and the friendships we have been lucky enough to revisit along the way. We (Soph and Tuck) have also become each other's best friend over the past few years, and we are so grateful to each other!

Our friendship with @theknocks is what gave us the confidence to pursue a career in music, thank you Broc and Jpatt! @nervomusic, newer friends, inspire us and motivate us to push ourselves and be relentlessly positive, thank you Mim and Liv! @alisaueno is a brand new friend who we share a ton of mutual friends with and we are also building a new friendship with Japan. We are so looking forward to going back! This track is especially fun because now we have an excuse to perform together, shoot a music video together and generally share the joy of music with some of our favorite people.

The fact that Christmas is coming doesn't mean you will not be able to fully enjoy this disco-bumpy and summer-smelling EP from Iñaki Hurtado aka Hurlee. 5th release of the uprising label Poetry in Motion presents two original tracks from the Mallorcan DJ (and label co-owner) and a remix by the good hands of Ziggy Phunk, a prolific Disco & House producer hailing from Copenaghen.

Any other words would be superfluous for this incredible EP, so that we just want you to put on a pair of cushy shoes (better look for an 80's model of it), to press the play button and start to dance and enjoy to the maximum! A bunch of fun is guaranteed!
