Chicago born musician Matthew Van Liedekerke’s work is a byproduct of his lifelong adventure to discover the source of everything. His music is an expression of his open heart, a glimpse into the infinite, free from the filters of perception.

Joyful at heart and sensitive to emotion, he felt the pain of occasionally being ostracized by the “cool” kids. He sought refuge in learning, creating, and connecting.

He feels at home as a foreigner– embracing the struggle to speak the universal language. He finds new grooves combining rhythm and melody from diverse origin. His music is a testament to his belief in the interconnectedness of all things and the power of the present.
