'Dreaming Daisies' retrospective/tribute show recorded live on the Three D radio show 'Raw Like Sushi, hosted by Sam Walker and soundtracked by myself on 3rd August 2022. 
Dreaming Daises was an Adelaide late night radio show that ran from 1990-1999, hosted by Georgie Knight with her unique and ethereal tones..... The show essentially soundtracked and educated a generation of dance music lovers in Adelaide, with the positive influence still resonating today... 
This show, mixed and recorded live in the studio, captures the sound of the show and in particular the 92-94 time when the Dutch and Detroit sounds fused with the unique techno transmitted from Adelaide. Hopefully this show either stirs some memories or provides some insights for those unfamiliar with the show or the sounds of the time.... Enjoy :)

Welcome to the 94th edition of Trushmix. This weeks guest is Workshop's own Even Tuell.
He recorded a diverse mix spanned over 1 hour and 22 minutes. The mix starts with some experimental sounds and goes into jazz, ragga, techno, house, balearic, rock, pop and more. A genuine and exiting journey through some marginal sounds to the very familiar parts of modern music history.

Trushmix 94 - Even Tuell

Jon Rust is a real DJ’s DJ. With roots in London’s club heritage and an approach to DJing which reflects that, Rust draws inspiration from the city's rich diversity and no-holds-barred approach to music. This is also backed up by the fact that he has hosted a deliciously diverse show on NTS since the stations first week of broadcasting -  "No Boring Intros". Rust also runs his own label, Levels, where he has put out music from Lord Tusk and Ajukaja, amongst others.

His 75 minute mix for us proves why this Londoner is so admired: it wastes no time in setting a nice house vibe with the use of plenty of unusual tracks, unknown gems and unlikely grooves. From bumping and dirty to down and deep, he manages to tie all these different strands together into something truly thrilling.

DAMO B (@damo-b), the driving force behind the excellent Outta Limits radio show made a superb mix for DR. 

Check out the show on Unity Radio or on Soundcloud every Thursday, filled with the latest and upcoming techno, house, breakbeat and electro gems. I've found show much good music through his mixes so it's a pleasure to feature him here! It's also Damo's birthday today, the 12th, so give the man a shout! Lets dive in and learn more.

// So the mix, can you tell us a little something about that? 
D: Well, this was the jinxed mix hahaha, my lead from the mixer from the laptop was dodgy and was playing up so I thought there was a serious issue. Had to wait for some new leads.

Then every time I tried to record the mix I would run out of time or id play the wrong side or wrong tune, that happened 4 times hahaha.

Finally though it’s here and I tried to put everything I mentioned in the above question about a perfect Damo B set into this. I hope people get a flavour of something a bit different than the radio show as that’s just scratching the surface when it comes to deejaying etc.
