Dj Holographic is part of the ‘new wave’ from Detroit which continues to hold it down for the underground. She joins the dots between the roots and origins whilst keeping things fresh for the present.

She draws upon influences from Motown, RnB, Funk and beyond whilst channeling these elements through House, Techno and all things clubland.

As a DJ she has grown from strength to strength, forming fierce connections in the Detroit community and beyond. She has played at the likes of Smart Bar, Panorama Bar and fabric amongst others.

This mix demonstrates her prowess on the decks as she weaves and wanders between elements of jackin’ House through to Techno. All laced with euphoric elements and samples throughout.

We’ve been sitting on this one for a bit, but we couldn’t hold out any longer—time to drop one of the standout moments from our absolutely mad NYE blowout! This is Vision 24 w/ Scuba, recorded live at our secret hideout in Neukölln.

With the room absolutely rammed and the ceiling dripping from the sweat and energy of everyone going full tilt into the new year, @scubaofficial smashed it with a high-energy techno set packed with acid heaters, electro bangers, and melodic vocal tracks that cut through the rawness perfectly. We recorded it with the mic on, so you’ll catch the occasional screams and claps from everyone fully losing it on the dancefloor. Probably the closest we could get to capturing how wild that rave went down, in one of the absolute peak moments.

Detroit’s Patrice Scott is a lifelong student of the deep who brings something fresh to his more techno orientated hometown. His smoky, atmospheric house lays low and rolls on endlessly, getting you in a meditative state and keeping you there with spine-tingling vocal motifs and beautifully delicate keys. His own Sistrum label has been on a similar mission since 2006, and you’d be hard pushed to find deep house as raw and emotionally charged anywhere in the world. 

His podcast is a two hour masterclass in smooth and seductive house that explores plenty of different moods. Selections exude the sort of class and quality that Scott has made his trademark: he’s not afraid of a jiggy drum pattern, or a vulnerable female voice, but the kicks always remain rooted to the floor and impossible to ignore. Come rain or shine, outdoor stages or indoor sweat boxes, this is the sort of mix that will always make a mark.
