Never too late to Dance

skyra is one of the local artists who has put Georgia's underground scene firmly on the map. His regular appearances at Tbilisi's cult Bassiani club have been key to that, and in August, he will showcase exactly what he's all about when he plays live for us at Selectors with Hamatsuki: deep but driving house music that's bathed in lush melodics but never short on low-end power. Next year, he has plenty of music coming up, including a release on Unforeseen with Hamatsuki.

To get you in the mood for all that is to come, he has laid down a one-hour live showcase that layers up smooth, supple, seductive drums with dreamy pads and neon melodies. The whole set glows with a late-night warmth and finds a perfect balance between beauty and beat-driven hypnosis.

London-born and Amsterdam-based, Lenxi is a DJ, producer, songwriter, vocalist, and digital artist whose work blurs boundaries between disciplines and genres. Her musical journey began as the lead singer of a punk-electro band — a raw and rebellious spirit that continues to fuel her creative voice today.

Within the Dutch dance scene, Lenxi has carved out her own lane as a genre-defying selector and producer, weaving together hypnotic techno, IDM, bass, breaks, and rave energy into uncompromisingly raw and moving DJ sets.

Like her productions, her DJ sets are marked by emotional depth, oFering listeners a glimpse into her inner world. Her talent and forward-thinking approach has led her to stages at Dekmantel Festival, Dekmantel Selectors, Draaimolen, Nous’klaer Festival, Wildeburg, Down The Rabbit Hole, Best Kept Secret and Nation of Gondwana, earning recognition for both her versatility and her commanding presence behind the decks.

In 2023, Lenxi released her debut EP Silent Treatment on Magnetron Music and began her residency at Amsterdam’s Echobox Radio. She has since followed up with her debut album on the celebrated Rotterdam-based label Nous’klaer Audio, solidifying her reputati on as a bold new voice in the electronic music landscape. 

Always searching for fresh connections and ways to break conventions, Lenxi embodies the future-facing spirit of the underground — raw, emotional, and unafraid to cross borders.
