Where past episodes have screamed, this one whispers. Albeit based in Berlin, Claudio PRC’s sound recalls the heavily meditative braindance so abundantly exported from his Italian homeland this past decade. Call it something in the air, or water, the current is there; his particular brand of italo-techno though, borrows from early influences in Detroit and Musique Concrète to intelligently craft a mesh of textures, vibrations and sparing melody that frequently darts through the abyss and across the fourth wall. Need proof? Bassiani Podcast 114 is it. And for those whose curiosity for his work doesn’t end here, check out his output via 012, his collaborative platform for experimentations in art and sound.

As often extensively touring as he is on the quest for new sounds (‘the iron fence in front of the studio’, ‘the wooden door in the toilet’ among other samples), or building instruments from scratch with his pals (see Modular Organ System), Phillip Sollmann’s experimental zeal underscores a conceptual framework that reveals a collage of influences as broad as Basic Channel, Francis Bacon, Japan or the room he’s sitting in. This often amounts to smooth and genre-busting segues on Dial, Curle and Ostgut Ton. For Bassiani Podcast 120, the German neutoner challenges and surprises with an hour of osmotic and textural 4/4 techno, twilight arps and fidgety basslines. Efdemin at his very best.

Rosie Ama and Nadia are everywhere thses days, sporting their trophy pics on social media. The duo started their radio show on London's Balamii Radio in 2016 and soon started performing together in clubs. Gigs across the UK and Europe followed, and now, a fistfull of days after, we see them producing acid and trance tracks and bake more plans for the future together. 

Here we see them LAYERing that blend of acid not acid with wacko electronica on a tempo rollercoaster.

Laura Lippie : I feel I started assembling some tracks very fast, like the previous music sessions I did with my friends and music people this past year, very instinctively. And, I feel I kind of like what it brings on the table, this no calculation status , this orientated independent journey, as we naturally collect so much info/intel about our hearts concern (world misery, injustice, sadnesses etc.). So, I just picked some of those processes, put some stuff that lights up my vibratory activity, with memories or rhizomes that combine throughout, beliefs and taste for experimental surroundings and extreme gravity in simple cold flesh harmonies. The first track being from Iran, and the rest tells its narrative on its own.
