When not touring his latest album on R'COUP'D, Fink has recently made Berlin a place to rest his head. The influence of his newfound home is crystalline clear considering the artists selected to rework "Pilgrim" - one of the highlights of Hard Believer. Both Paula Temple and Brandt Brauer Frick submit reworks, but it's BBF that come out trumps in this instance.
This one is set to drop 23rd February.

Cissi Moon changed my life! It was in a now refurbished part of Stockholm in a futuristic cafe/club called Holger that i had my first encounter with loudly played club music. The night was called dB and we lined up with our fake IDs every Saturday to hear Cissi Moon spin Drum & Bass records and let the bass engulf our beings.

At the time the art of making electronic music was totally alien to me, I could not for the life of me work out how to ever make music that carried the same emotional and physical impact as I felt on that dance floor .
I have spent the last 17 years or so trying to get back to that state of being at one and completely lost with the music. 

This record concludes a trilogy of EPs by Peder Mannerfelt on his eponymously named label. What comes next is everything and beyond.

Melbourne purveyors of synth-funk, GL are back with all-new single ‘Number One’. 

The track release follows GL's stand-out performance at Splendour In The Grass in July, where Thompson also joined Mark Ronson onstage as part of his live supergroup. The pair emerged as a highlight of Sydney's OutsideIn Festival earlier this month, and promise to do the same again when they take to the stage at Meredith Music Festival this December.

An infectious treat of glowing synths, stratospheric vocals and luxurious neon-lit pop, "Number One" will enchant first time listeners as well as satiate fans of their debut EP ‘Love Hexagon’ in need of a GL fix.

GL - Number One

An unreleased track recorded in 1983 discovered in a dusty corner of the On-U tape archives. Taken from SCIENCE FICTION DANCEHALL CLASSICS, a curated selection of classics, rarities and unreleased tracks from the On-U Sound vaults by DJ & Audio Visual artist Trevor Jackson.

In some ways predicting the electro-fied sound of Neneh’s worldwide pop success with the Raw Like Sushi album, “Dead Come Alive” stems from a mid-80s period when Adrian took a production hiatus from his beloved reggae, deeply upset by the murder of his friend Prince Far I (he would later rekindle the dub flame when the opportunity arose in 1986 to work with hero Lee “Scratch” Perry). Instead he explored the possibilities of new studio technology. Early samplers and drum machines were put through their paces on work for the Tommy Boy label and remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode.

The art of omission is a craft New Jersey native Joey Anderson masters like few others. After releasing his acclaimed debut album After Forever in 2014 and the 1974 EP earlier this year, Anderson returns to the Dekmantel label serving up the signature sound we love him for. Invisible Switch is the perfect example of what Anderson can do with very little, catapulting him to one of the finest and most original techno and house producers to date.

Lando and Xavier keep the coals hot after they first locked horns earlier this year. Power House Rhythm Unit, which landed in April on Facetoface, was gundam techno with feels; the EP namesake was a particular nerve-tingler, comprised of a sturdy 4/4 exoskeleton topped by an insistent, repeating vocal blurt.

"The Switch" manoeuvres along a similar trajectory: a raw machine driven house-techno hybrid. It's hypnotic and alluring in equal measure featuring a synth line that vaguely resembles Bob James' "Nautilus" opening.

The Switch EP is the eighth package to come from the TANSTAAFL PLANETS imprint. Catch the release on November 6th.

Fuzz Club is an independent record label, online store and production company that focuses on experimental rock and roll, influenced by shoegaze, electronica, noise, garage, blues, folk and psychedelia.
Based in East London, Fuzz Club has gained a reputation for surfacing the best emerging talent from Europe and beyond, and releasing them on high end, limited edition vinyl pressings, alongside a roster of the best known names in the underground scene including Anton Newcombe, Goat, Alan Vega, The Black Angels, Dead Skeletons, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Telescopes, Sonic Jesus and The Underground Youth.
Established in rural Norway during the 24 hour darkness of the Arctic winter, Fuzz Club entered the scene in 2012 with their compilation The Reverb Conspiracy – made in collaboration with Austin Psych Fest – a now annual release capturing the essence of the underground scene as it is today.
Today Fuzz Club has around 20 artists and over 40 releases.

-こちらのミックスはどちらで収録したものですか？

ローマにある自分のスタジオでライブ録音しました。


-このミックスの使用機材を教えてください。

1918年の蓄音機2台。:-) もちろん冗談。でもちょっと説明が難しいんだよね、、。
自分のスタジオでミックスを作る時はラップトップとコントローラーを使っていて、コントローラーは個人的にMIDIの方が違うサウンドソースをコントロールしやすいと思ってるから、MIDIboxのコアに基づいて自分で作ったものを使っているんだ。スタジオではそれでRMEのコンバーターのチャンネルをコントロールして、ミキサーとして使ってる。そうすればヴァイナル、CD、シンセ、ドラムマシーン、その他プレイ中に頭に浮かんだもの全てをリアルタイムで使えるから。8チャンネルのミキサーと同じコンセプトだよ。8種類のオーディオインプットをミックスしてマスターチャンネルを全て録音してあるDATテープに割り当てたよ。


-コンセプトを教えてください。

最初はアンビエントのミックスを作ろうと思ってたんだけど、なんか途中でテクノ、トライバルな気分になって最終的にテクノに走ったね。正直最初のプランからは外れたけど、瞬間的に突き動かされたって感じかな。


-最近の活動を教えてください。

自分のレーベル〈Outis Music〉と、Modern Headsの新しいライブセット、あと次の大きなプロジェクトのリリースを控えていて、リリース後のライブ／ヴィジュアルショーにも取り組んでる。あと実は新しい音楽プロダクションにも参加しているんだ。テクノとは限らない、、、とりあえず〈Outis Music〉のウェブサイトで随時情報を更新していくよ。 ;-)
