In July 2010, I got an invitation to play at a small but neat festival named Folk Ibiza. It was my first visit to the island. I got to spin at a bunch of different locations, such as the Hostal Boutique Salinas, Sunset Ashram, and on the terrace at Space. I returned in September of the following year to play a set on Andy Wilson's show on Ibiza Sonica and a second time at the Hostal. I have not been back to Ibiza since. I recently came across this picture (taken at Cala Compte next to Sunset Ashram), which inspired me to make this mix. I tried to sonically capture the vibe that I felt back then. It includes some bona fide classics such as Ashra "Oasis“, Santana "Aqua Marine," and Jah Wobble & Holger Czukay "Hold On To Your Dreams," as well as tunes by Smith & Mudd, Begin, Quiet Village and more. Hello friends,

This Thursday, August 14th, I’m back at my summer residency at La Milagrosa in South Williamsburg - a tiny speakeasy with just enough space for the music to wrap around us. I’ll be joined by some of my friends behind the decks, and we’ll play from 10PM until the night decides to end.
Milagrosa is one of those rooms where you feel every record. A handful of people, close enough to exchange smiles, close enough to hear the air between the notes.

I’ve been DJ-ing for over 25 years, collecting music from all corners of the world - each track carrying its own story, its own heartbeat. On Thursdays, I get to stitch these moments together: fresh discoveries, long-lost gems, and sounds that still give me goosebumps after decades. No hype, no big expectations, just a night for those who love music, connection, and the beauty of getting lost in a groove.

And here’s a little taste - I recorded my Sunday set at @Brooklynpopup at @Brooklynmuseum. Think of it as a warm-up for what’s coming this Thursday.
