Dekmantel Selectors 2021 was a much needed musical reunion. After the preceding period of stillness, the catharsis and pure joy of finally being together again has been overwhelming. In the words of Simo Cell: "It's 7pm, and I have 5 missed calls on my phone: 'We're expecting massive rain tonight and we will have to close your stage earlier, is it okay for you to play earlier?' No time to stress and to think about it. I left my place and started my set straight away. From a few people to a packed dancefloor, I built up slowly from 90bpm to 160bpm (you know the drill). Pretty happy about the progression of the set and the rise in intensity. In the end, the crowd turned into a mosh pit on XXXtentacion and I had the best time behind the decks. It's good when things sometimes happen spontaneously like that. And it didn't rain after all."

Dekmantel Selectors 2021 was a much needed musical reunion. After the preceding period of stillness, the catharsis and pure joy of finally being together again has been overwhelming. In the words of Fafi Abdel Nour: "At first, I was quite anxious about everything, but having lots of familiar faces around made me feel at ease. It has been a long time since I felt comfortable enough to dance during my own set and it's a feeling that I don't want to let go anymore! Still buzzing from it."

Tuesday night, Burning Man, 2014. 1AM. Starting at 10 and L and ending up somewhere in deep Playa. Being the so called "captain of the bus", driving into the middle of nowhere with an endless tail of flickering lights behind me, was an experience I will never, ever, forget.

The Hague’s finest, DJ Overdose, steps up for the fourth Computer Controlled release with an incendiary 4 track ep aimed straight at the dancefloor.  In keeping with the labels 303 based theme, things kick off with Blue Flame, which sees Overdose delve into an epic foray into 4x4 territory with angelic like synth stabs, jackin’ beats and gnarly acid lines which culminates into the most epic of breakdowns.  Bare Bonus Bounce is a stripped back version of Blue Flame that retains the vocal samples, funk and jacking 4x4 beats.  The flip side kicks off with Acid Lovely, a hefty 303 laden electro work out that certainly lives up to its name.  The EP finishes off with Work Is Work which retains the vocal samples of Blue Flame laid out over a raw and gritty electro beat of which Overdose is notorious for.
