Modern spearheads of the UK acid-house scene, the duo are residents & hosts of "I Love Acid" clubnight, as well as the vinyl-only label of the same name, and their main imprint "Balkan Vinyl" on which they released essential records from Mark Archer, Luke Vibert, Plaid and more…

They have run well over a hundred parties since 2007 across the UK & Europe - with current regular residencies at Pickle Factory in London and Gorilla in Manchester. "I Love Acid" won best club event in DJ Magazine's Best of British awards 2019.

The duo have an extensive back catalogue of 12"s on labels the like of Tusk Wax, X-Kalay, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Body Work, Craigie Knowes, Shipwrec, Chiwax, Acid Avengers, B12 Records as well as their own imprints.

They’re about to release three cuts of psychedelic electronics on Cyberdome’ sublabel of 1Ø Pills mate, complete with a remix from DMX Krew !

The musical story of Marie Pravda begins in the Olomouc Metro chill out club, where every party was more like an afterparty, and the bpm rarely exceeded 110. The great secret of the truth (Pravda in Czech) has been revealed.

Its continuation brings us to Prague, where Marie soon acts as a pleasant refreshment in a city full of monotonous techno. She quickly gets her bearings, and her refined tracks can be heard on her show Narrativ on the Punctum radio. A couple of years of hard work spent on the internet searching for the out of ordinary music and mixing it in her home studio are finally bearing fruit: the first big gigs are coming up, as well as residencies at Ankali and Planeta Za. She recently became part of the international exchange program Gravity between residents of Jasna1 club in Warsaw, Revier Südost in Berlin and Ankali in Prague.

But her story doesn't end there. It is just beginning. Her dance sets can be fierce and uncompromising, and conversely, the listening ones will take you over the valleys and ridges of your long journey. In both of these positions, you never know what she's going to blast you off right now.

In the first week of September we’re heading to the beautiful scenery of Tisno, Croatia, to celebrate the first edition of Dekmantel Selectors. In the run up to the festival, we’ve launched a new temporary podcast-series where we invite ten of our selectors from the festival to dig deep in their unique collections. The idea behind the mix is to create a Time Document, focusing on a specific period of time with the artist being free in choosing this period. This period could in fact entail anything: a certain decennia, the time he or she fell in love, The Cold War, November ’92 – March ’93, or the rise of Nigerian music. It’s up to the Selectors to choose and tell us a story based on their music collection.

Next up in our Selector Podcast-series is John Scheffer alias Intergalactic Gary, who's a 30-year veteran of the DJ craft. Scheffer has started his career in The Hague (whilst becoming a resident at the city's first house club, La DS), and is now considered a quiet master of the DJ arts, using his decades of experience behind the decks to craft deep and immersive sets steeped in atmosphere and confidently shift between musical genres and eras with an assured touch.

In anticipation of the festival, Scheffer recorded this special Selectors Time Document-podcast, based on what he defines as ‘timeless music'. "The idea behind this mix was to combine different genres from different time periods. Some tracks aren’t released yet, others have been laying on the shelves for years, waiting to finally get played. In my opinion, every track that’s used in this mix is timeless."

Selectors Podcast 002 - Intergalactic Gary

On January 19 2018, I played all night long on Concrete's amazing WOODFLOOR. 

It was an epic 8 hour adventure, probably my favorite DJ experience in a club.

I have almost 7 hours recorded, but Soundcloud does not love long sets so here is part 1 of 2, the first half of the night. 

No edits to the recording, no mastering, just the set as it is.

Once again, a huge thanks to the crowd, it was the perfect mix of friends, fans and randoms, energy levels were high and I had some really uplifting interactions with the dancers! And a shout out to Brice for the invitation and to the whole team at Concrete.
