Akrüül is artist and musician Julian Klein from Vorarlberg, Austria, nowadays based in Vienna. His productional work moves between dub, tribal and ambient and is drenched in krautrock influences and more. He runs Goldgelb Records, a platform for artists from the experimental scene. His work dwells in late night mystique, where cracked slabs of concrete and half empty cocktail bars meet.

Seine Produktionen bewegen sich zwischen Dub, Tribal und Ambient und sind von Krautrock-Einflüssen und mehr durchtränkt. Er betreibt Goldgelb Records, eine Plattform für Künstler aus der experimentellen Szene. Seine Arbeit spielt in der nächtlichen Mystik, wo rissige Betonplatten und halbleere Cocktailbars aufeinandertreffen.

In her last multisensory release «Tales of Another Felt Sense of Self» she explores our routines of listening, seeing, sensing, understanding, and feeling, both in terms of the personal & the collective, while demanding a re-embodiment of all the senses. Mara Miccichè is co-founder of the music label -OUS and the multi-disciplinary collective MADAM.

The Dekmantel Selectors podcast series became tradition. Each year, we ask 6 artists from the line-up to deliver a mix in anticipation of the new edition. After Palo Santo & Coco Maria's stunning mix, it's time for Sacha Mambo to take care of the next podcast.

Sacha Mambo stays busy heading up the Macadam Mambo label (perhaps best known for their nice run of edits) and occasionally producing under the alias MZKBX. The Lyon resident has also put in plenty of time as DJ as well, having served as the resident of his hometown club Le Sucre for a handful of years where he developed his taste for piecing together disparate sounds sources, often utilizing bits of cosmic Afro, dub, new beat, early rave, post-punk, and all sorts of weird electronics in the course of his infectiously oddball sets.

That being said, we're happy to have Lyon's Sacha Mambo continuing our globe-traversing Selectors podcast series, bringing an alt history of French music to your door. Minimalist wave, proto-electronic gurgles and a typically laissez-faire attitude abound. Bon voyage! 🇫🇷

For long Philipp Otterbach, DJ, producer and record collector, devote himself with endurance to music. When Düsseldorf’s shrine for outernational grooves Salon des Amateurs opened in 2004, he became one of the first residents. Since 2014 Philipp released music on labels like GROKENBERGER, Tour Messier or Knekelhuis and left marks as a remixer for artists like Brainwaltzera, DJ Normal 4 or Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt. The Otter joined Warning as a Resident DJ in 2018 and since then actively helps to shape the sound and vibe of the Berlin project.

Frinda di Lanco’s selection ranges from cosmic, disco, italo and synth-pop to wave, new beat and proto-house. In her sets she combines the obscure and the powerful, the ironic and the iconic. She frequently occurs in clubs around her hometown Berlin, debuted at festivals like Primavera Sound and Fusion Festival in 2019 and toured through China and Japan. With her partner Hendrik Stein she is running Avec Plaisir to unveil and reissue forgotten jams, both of them are affiliates of Warning since day 1.
