Roderick Allen is an American music composer, producer, arranger, songwriter, & instrumental recording artist currently residing in Durham, North Carolina. Although a versatile musician, he has a strong preference for the urban-contemporary characteristics of smooth jazz. His debut album entitled ELEVATION MUSIC is a production of tranquil smooth jazz keyboards and sultry up-tempo grooves featuring award-winning saxophonists Marcus Anderson & Eric Marienthal. The album was released on Oct 9th 2015 and just four days later, it became the #1-selling smooth jazz album on Amazon.com. Since then, it has been the focus of numerous smooth jazz podcasts, radios programs, & written articles throughout the U.S. and overseas. 
Also featured on the album is sensational jazz pianist Bob Baldwin and a host of other very talented instrumentalists including Quamon Fowler (saxophone), Richard Boulger (trumpet), Russ Corvey (guitar), Ashley “Aluv” Doe (electric bass), & powerful singer/ songwriter Stanley Thompson. Mr. Allen is currently producing music for other recording artists.
