Latino artist coming straight out of Philadelphia, Pa (North Philly Badlandz) where being a musician/artist can get rough because there’s not too much support where I’m from but i keep my head above waters and doing everything i can to defeat the odds! I had it rough growing up my father was a big time drug dealer until he started using what he was distributing so me and my four other siblings where traumatized from the things he use to do for the high he was chasing and my mom was always emotional because of it but she was strong for us she was the definition of queen who raised us off a welfare check. So i started to feel like i had to do something to help my mom and got into the streets and caught myself following my dad footsteps until one of my childhood friends came up to me one day who also was an artist, and told me “ Matic you should start rapping, you got the voice” and from that day on i wrote and wrote until i got so good i practically mastered it and told myself i need to take this serious now here i am doing what i love and take so much pride in that i promise i won’t give up and I’m coming for it all!

King Sekou is a up & coming artist out of the northern east coast region . He is currently signed to the most infamous music label of the dover city area which goes by the name of illa recordz. King Sekou is a full time father & artist working at all times to continue the growth of his record label & brand with plans to feed his four kids & wife . He has just currently became the number 1 artist of the New Hampshire city /state by creating an on going campaign titled the 603 campaign which is
has grown beyond the expectation . The #603 campaign is a locally born movement && since the start it has reach around the world & back again. King Sekou has made it his goal to dedicate himself to do all that it takes to bring a shining light the 603 hip hop scene .
