Welcome to Pauranika, a podcast with mythological stories from India! 
I am Kavya, and in this Podcast, I will be talking about mythology. I have always loved mythology; the occurrences of magical events and the birth of mysterious beings and everything about the stories that I've read and listened to so far have always fascinated me. I've been so fascinated that I always wonder if those events really happened and if those magical and mysterious beings really existed?
Though I have always been this interested in the beautiful stories of my culture and religion, I had never paid much attention to the details of a few practices that we follow, like not cutting nails in the evening, brahmins not consuming meat, Hindu girls and women wearing a bindi, etc.  I was asked to follow such practices and I followed them without ever questioning my parents and elders as to why we follow these practices. In this podcast, I will go on a beautiful journey to learn of the other forms of stories that I have already heard and/or read and the stories that I hadn't learnt of when I was little, and also the practical meaning behind the practices I was asked to maintain for the rest of my life.
