Kimberly Anne describes her music as ‘acoustic pop married to indie, whilst having a love affair with Afro/Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms.’ Confused? So was she when trying to find a sound that best represented the influences she was surrounded by growing up in a musical playground, from Van Morrison to Mary J Blige. Kimberly came to know her parents' record collection so well, they almost felt like extended family relatives.

After teaching herself to play the guitar, learning songs by The Cure and Bloc Party, and venturing to study percussion in West Africa, Kimberly Anne is creating music championed by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and XFM, and garnering support slots with the likes of Jake Bugg, First Aid Kit and Haim.

This is like a sound diary of my evolution as an artist. :) A lot of these songs were never (ever) released...just ideations, explorations and home recordings of my journey as a songwriter, singer and guitarist. I love writing, recording, and performing music and  am hoping to find like-minded people near me to work with. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the music I am adding to my page. All songs are written and recorded by me and I play all the instruments you are hearing, unless otherwise specified. I am open to having any of my songs used in commercials, TV, movies, or purchased by others to be used by them.
