It’s time to bounce back a bit in history as we are taking back some of the originals we’ve had in the past on our roster, and spice them up a bit as we spark new life into them, with a new solid rework of the original ideas. This time we have some fine work delivered originally from Toby Hedges, Talamanca, Jocey & Aureluna as well as a double from French supremo James Woods. 

All 5 of the tracks are some of the tracks we had a great feel for from our back catalogue, and would like to highlight a bit more, but this time from fresh rising talent on the progressive scene that delivers new fresh vibes for us and all of the community.

First out on this journey is a welcome return to us from Norwegian artist Ethillas who took on the challenge to rework our first Toby Hedges signing on the label, “Paper Aeroplanes”. Ethillas delivers a sparkling progressive production here, filled with tasty melodic arrangements, superb harmonies and an overall lovely relaxing feel, as it at the same time has that energetic feel. You got to love music like this! 

Next up is our first James Woods delivery today, as we had the honor to welcome back the great talent of Maliauka to our roster, as he delivers a brand new remix of the PHW classic from James Woods, called “Skydiving”. With warm and deep textures, he definitely delivers some fresh drive into Mr. Woods original ideas. We really enjoy what have happened here and feel we have something rare in the pipeline to all of you.

Next out is one that we believe a lot of you will remember as we bring back Talamanca and his fantastic production “Talamanca Beach”, originally released with us back in April 2013. This time another rising talent from Holland delivers the rework as we are super pleased to welcome Poll Morris to our roster with his magnificent spiced up version of one of PHW’s most beloved originals. It’s just another great and melodic production to go with PHW, and we truly love what we hear.

Next is a collaboration between Jocey & Aureluna that returns in new shape on the label, here with another classy rework from Finlands fastest rising talent on the progressive scene, Markus Hakala. For this remix from Markus, you will have some rewritten melodic lines that definitely brings new sparks on this beauty.  We are absolutely in love with this beast when it came originally and Markus definitely bring that lovin’ feel back to us.

Last out on this new adventure from us is another original from the past delivered from French ace James Woods, this time the lovely production from him, as he baptized as “Book Of Dreams”. This time we welcome back the Russian promising and rising talent Artsever to our label as he pulls the trigger for us and deliver another superb production to the scene.

All in all we are as proud as ever to have all these amazing talents around us at PHW, and we couldn’t have asked for more. We do hope you all will love and enjoy this fine package of fresh vibes. Watch out for more like this in the future!

Talamanca - Talamanca Beach (Poll Morris Remix)

Time for another returning artist this week as we have the pleasure to have Greek producer Angelo-K back with us. He has been on remix duty for us on PHW Elements not to long ago, with some amazing sounds on his agenda and he delivers another superb track to us as his “Somewhere In Time” is our highlight of the week on PHW Elements.

With a great ear for building melodies, he once again makes a great delivery for us as he brings on this beauty to all of you following us. Be ready for a melodic production than we have had on our past releases, as he is delivering an amazing track, filled with big melodic pads, great guitar play and a layer after layer production, just too good to resist. We have been in love with this track since day one and still are!

You will also get an “Orchestral Tool” included from Angelo-K, for those of you wanting to get a more relaxed and calm way to listen to this fantastic production.

On remix duty, we have 3 amazing producers all making debuts on our PHW Elements imprint, and we feel truly inspired by all of them and the work they have delivered to complete this release.

First out is one that have delivered some amazing material on pretty much all the major labels out there, and it’s as said just a joy to be able to have the undoubtedly super talent Anton MAKe on our roster as he delivers a more deep re-take of Angelo-K’s original ideas and we feel as happy as ever to have him and this rework on our roster. With deeper kicks and more crisp percussion he puts more drive on to this progressive journey. 

2nd out on remix duty is one of the friendliest producers out there on the scene, as we have the total joy of having US bound producer Will McGlone with us. Will who is someone who has a production style we have been hooked on since discovering his true talent not to long again delivers a warm interpretation. It’s built through deep basslines, crisp percussion and and a layer after layer melodic journey is taking place as he starts to build this track up for us. We believe there is a few of you out there that, as we have, will fall for this superb version, super stuff coming up fellas!

Last out and quite a new name on the scene, we proudly present the young up and coming producer from Lithuania, Frosun on our roster. As he caught our attention with a stunning 4 track EP through Weepee’s White2Black label some months ago, we decided to check if he was available to give his thoughts and ideas for this rack, and we feel he has done amazing with it. He is keeping some of the original ideas, but definitely builds his ideas with some great arpeggio lines included among the melodic feel he’s built here. It’s great to see new talent on the scene, and Frosun is one that we hope to see a lot more of in the future!

Blugazer's "Ethereal Concepts," one of our favorites from this year's "Silk Royal Showcase 04" compilation, finally receives a full single release on our parent label, including powerfully emotive interpretations by Shingo Nakamura and Piramex. Based in NYC, Blugazer has generated strong buzz in the international trance & progressive community over the last few years, on account of his intricate, visionary productions. His original version is centered on a gentle groove, while a variety of relaxing and lush melodies are equally entrancing. The instrumental themes are quite memorable, yet the most breathtaking effects are provided by an unnamed female vocalist, whose ethereal voice offers a deep catharsis to the listener.

Veteran star Shingo Nakamura, fresh off a wonderful collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and James Grant on the recent "Anjunadeep 06" release, offers a deliciously deep take in the spirit of the original version. Soothing pads and a buoyant rhythm provide the listener with a floating-on-air sensation, while Shingo's signature chords offer uplifting melodic vibes. In the main break, Shingo's gorgeous piano lines, which beautifully coalesce with the vocal stabs, are a welcome addition to the soundscape.

Rising Russian talent Piramex, who recently won our "Both" remix contest, provides a peak-hour rendering, fueled by a ferocious bassline. As the song crescendoes toward the climax, vocal effects and pad layers are added, creating an aura of suspense. In the main break, a reworked vocal sequence soars above an anthemic bassline progression, while a variety of side melodies fill out the soundscape. The thunderous drop to follow is awe-inspiring.

Chris Johnson - PHW Exclusive Guest Set + Interview [29th Of October]

It’s been a while in the making but Johnny Yono’s debut original EP, “Poison Whispers” is here and next up on Perfecto Fluoro.

After strong remixes for Paul Oakenfold’s “Hold That Sucker Down” and “Berber’s Adagio For Strings” from 2014’s “Trance Mission” album project, Johnny has brought us a humungous 3 track EP of quality trance featuring Poison Whispers which saw early support in the form of inclusion on the We Are Planet Perfecto – Vol 4 album in October 2014.

Next up is “Everything We’re Made Of” which, as its named suggests, shows just how much Johnny puts into his music. Intense and cutting basslines backed with perfect atmosphere and a massive melody.

Last but not least, “Lucid Eyes” is a fantastic ender to the package with an altogether more chilled feel, but keeping the quality and strength of production throughout. 

Johnny Yono has found a strong sound and one that this EP demonstrates with great effect!

Focussing on an increasingly deep house-centred style, German producer Martin Roth returns to Anjunadeep with appropriately titled "Beautiful Life" and the sultry "Make Love To Me Baby". 

Clearly containing some of the DNA from Martin's previous outing "Deep Style", "Beautiful Life" is laced with languid, downtuned grooves and layers moody interludes, softly echoing vocal fades and some gorgeous swathes of synth to conjure an edgy deep house number.

Here is a remix I have done for my friend Tomomi Ukomori. This remix is a very naive and cinematic song with both influences from old school 90s trance and lo-fi disco/house. With this I wanted to recreate the strange futuristic feeling you can find in animé films and it is also inspired by my own experiences in Tokyo, one of my favorite places on this planet.
