Mantas is the man who needs no introduction. Cologne based DJ imports his fresh wax discoveries to Vilnius on a regular basis and constantly surprises with his ace mixing skills and kicking cherry-picked cuts. The guy is a veteran in the Lithuanian club music circles, but his ears and vinyl bag is always up-to-date. Mantas also runs the Partyzanai net label and helps younger talents to get some additional exposure in the spotlight.

It may seem that Mantas T. has always been in the electronic music scene of Lithuania. And he has! Since the 90s or 1997 to be more precise. It has always been about the vinyl – Mantas is a strong vinyl enthusiast, Partyzanai record label and its sub-labels founder, promoter and a vinyl only DJ. You could even think of a latter one as an act of rebellion in todays rapidly digitising music world.
Constantly traveling between Cologne and Lithuania he manages to hold residency at Lizdas, promote his own parties in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda, release new music on Partyzanai, Partyzanai Pop, PPP and elsewhere. Being on the move puts Mantas in a unique position of seeing the scene both from the inside and from the outside, thus keeping the pulse on what’s it going to be next.

Our final entry for Supynes Festival 2019 music series – wavy, ebm-ish, electro infused and even with a gist of deconstructed club music. Old and new, all mixed into one by Mantas T.

Next up in the Sinchi series is prolific producer @AlejandroMolinari. The popular South American artist is now a resident of Berlin and is sharing his unique sound which flutters between new wave and post punk to electro and occultism. There is no better way to get a taste than to listen to this super mix he rustled up for us.

ABOUT

1) Introduce yourself?

My name is Alejandro Molinari, I was born in Venezuela and spent many years in Mexico until I moved to Berlin.

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

Playing at Goute de Nuit’s parties in Paris, full of loyal listeners and a very interesting Italo Disco & New Wave concept. I would also mention my latest Live Act at Katerblau, as one the deepest connections I’ve felt with the audience. Also charting #1 best Indie Dance track last May on Beatport with the Remix I did for Sex Kino  called ‘Who Do You Love’.

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

I have a new album called “Santo Ritmo” coming out on Playground Records with remixes from Mijo, Middle Sky Boom and Teniente Castillo. Also a new single “Noche de Berlin” coming out this summer on Nein Records. Its similar to my latest track “Discoteca Mexicana” with vocals in Spanish and a driving bassline.

Sinchi & Friends 81 – Alejandro Molinari

Aggelos Baltas has been producing and remixing music since 2005 under various aliases, including Fantastikoi Hxoi, Dream Weapons and Anatolian Weapons.

His music combines global music influences with house & electronic production, which is demonstrated on his previous releases with Lurid Music, Dark Entries, Emotional Response & Dekmantel.

His latest release on Beats in Space as Anatolian Weapons, was a collaboration with Greek psych-folk singer, Seirios Savvaidis. This was then remixed by Tolouse Low Trax, Mr TC and Mekine U Teksi.

His mix for International tribe ‘moves between different shades of global house showcasing old and recent favourite tracks, labels and producers at the moment while staying mostly at 100 BPM.’
