KILLEKILL 017 by NEIL LANDSTRUMM is a three tracker with no less than three hits on it. The A-Side is a dark slammer about someone trading his ass for drugs in a new acid/disco/synthwave/techno fusion style with an undisputed Chicago flavour in it. What a hit!

B1 is the result of a collaboration of Neil with JD TWITCH under the name
DOUBLEHEART, under which they also released on Nonplus and other labels. “Outsider music aimed at the dancefloor”, as they put it, and that pretty much hits the nail on the head: nice electro beats, a wobbling bass, and all sorts of freaky sounds on top of it, from classic cowbells to whistles, squeaks and other weird stuff. And all this without ever losing the drive to rock the dancefloor.

B2 again was an intial collaboration between Neil and RALPH CUMBERS who produces a UK project called ‘Bass Clef’ and has released some high quality, left of field club productions over the years on the Punk Drunk and Blank Tapes labels. He is also an extremely gifted trombone player and frequently plays this at live shows along with Theremin and bass heavy garagey beat style.. They produced a few tracks together and this one stood out as glam rock/synth wave production. Then Lewis Maccoll alias OPERATOR, who recorded Scandinavia 022, was asked to write song lyrics and sing vocals over the original track. Lewis has a unique layering style of vocal production and his dark story of the deep and passive souls enhanced the song immensely and broadened its appeal to a much wider audience. Its a fresh style electronic style for 2014 very fitting to the alternative Killekill label approach.

Returning home to their Feel My Bicep imprint, the Dahlia EP is a masterful follow on from their anthem on AUS Music, Just. i-D exclusively bring you the second track off the EP with Rays. Being inspired by some of the lads early morning sets at Panorama Bar, the track is another punchy number with the tumbling bass line building through vocal chops into a deep minor-key 2nd drop. Another Bicep delight set to do definite damage to dance floors both day and night.

This is the beginning of our podcast series. 
The podcast will feature artists which have played in our club. With this we want to give you the possibility to recap the greatest parties at our beloved Suicide Circus, to fix highlights for the future or basically to listen to good music.
The first mix comes from PIERRE. Since the mid 90s, Pierre is listed among the most popular techno DJs in Germany. He gained wide spread respect and attention as resident DJ at Aufschwung Ost, the legendary club in Kassel, which was renamed Stammheim later. 

This set was recorded at Suicide Circus 2012-02-19.

“If you still want a playground in the future, you should play tomorrow’s music today, but don’t completely disregard the past and the present, as few will be unable to keep up with you – and a party is no fun on your own.”

Short and to the point
Pierre, 29, often-booked DJ, producer, label owner, legend of “Aufschwung Ost”, “Stammheim” and “Hotel Reiss”, began to organise parties at the tender age of 16, originally in a quiet village. Since he became twenty, he lost interest in public educational institutions and preferred to teach himself. Pierre has founded several companies, plagued his employees, earned and lost money, so he knows all about paying for experience.
Pierre’s perfect party takes place in an atmosphere free of rules yet cultivated, uses a good sound system, a stage set at head height with the crowd, delicious drinks and healthy, unrestrained people in a balanced mix of gender and social standing.
Pierre love(d) Stammheim, the Omen, the FUSE in Brussels, the Alive Festival at St. Vith and . The club culture of straightforward beats would benefit from an overhaul, he said. Asked whether he could imagine still playing in clubs at 40 or 50, he thought it would be “good”, although he refrained to answer. It doesn’t matter. By the way: Even the old pro DJ Pierre sometimes has stage fright, particularly when the gig means a lot to him.

The label boss The Advent teams up with Spiriakos and they deliver a great release for Kombination Research. The original mix of 'Point Of No Return' is a smooth techno production that builds early on with some nice beats and some subtle effects. Filterheadz deliver their remix on the flip and maintain some of the quirky vibe in the drum work.

KILLEKILL HOUSE TRAX starts with the release of a great track by ALEX CORTEX. Quite uptempo but groovy as hell "Oh Yeah" comes along with a strong reminiscence to classic chicago house with its strong bassline and the catchy vocal sample. TYREE COOPER added a simple but well working piano and packed the original into an even more classic outfit.

<p>The label bosses The Advent and Industrialyzer team up with Hugo Paixao and they are releasing an excellent EP on Codeworks. Kicking off this EP is the title track ‘Mutant’ which creates a big chunky affair full of dark beats with smooth percussion on the foreground. A very nice and intense production with smooth string getting along. ‘Twisted’ follows, featuring stabbing and rolling deep basslines mixed up with nice and melodic riffs. Can be better than that? Three excellent producers getting along and they produce two techno anthems for Codeworks. Enjoy</p>
