EXCLUSIF INTERVIEW: 

EL: Could you give us a short glimpse of you background and introduction to your project​ ​Doncler?​ (past​ releases, performances etc..)

Doncler : I started to produce Melodic Techno in 2016. Doncler stands for a unique fresh Sound. Where I started this project, I planned to create something new. Currently I’m deejaying my songs on gigs but i will switch to a live performance in 2020.

EL: Could you tell us the story behind your new release coming out soon on Berlin Banger Records?

Doncler: The Delorean EP contains two Melodic Techno Tracks, Delorean and Momento. I produced Momento this summer on Ibiza with a amazing view of the sea, I think the mood of this song is happy. After Ibiza i couldn't find a second track for a release, so i put it beside. After a while i finished a song names Delorean and i thought they are fit together. The release was born.

EL: As a music producer what parts of the creation process do you find the most difficult and what comes easiest for you?

Doncler: The creative process is that what i really like, the first hours in production when i design the sounds and write the melodies. As next the arrangement. I don’t work with templates so i start all the time from scratch. I change the arrangement multiple times, remove boring parts and reduce elements after and after. It really helps me to play the tracks in my DJ sets to find out which parts are not perfect.

The hardest part for me is the mixing, the last 5-10% to increase the sound quality. I have tracks where i mixed 20-30 hours on it.

EL: Can you tell us a bit more about your creation process?

Doncler: Well, i never have a idea before i start to make music. I go to the studio and start with the drums. When i have a cool groove i start a melody. It’s important for me to finish the creative process without break, because I have big problems to get the vibe back after a pause. When i get goose bumps then i know the track is dope.

EL: What are you currently working on and what can we expect to see from you in 2020?

Doncler: I have a lot of new music and can’t await to share it with you. Maybe the next EP comes end of January or beginn of February. Beside I’m working on a Album and with a bit luck I release it 2020 also.

Sarajevo based producer A Skitzo makes his return on the Dutch 90watts imprint after the 2018 release of 'It's Not Over'. In the meantime he has released his music on Soundteller Records and David Hohme's Where The Heart Is amongst others.

'Sevd Ahh' relies heavily on ethnic influences with a traditional vocal, middle eastern influenced melodies and tribal percussive rhythms. A very catchy track, not in the last place because of it's infectious bassline and overall intense atmosphere.
